La Cigale Tabarka
4.4/566 Reviews
Located in northwestern Tunisia, Tabarka was originally an ancient fishing port and has now become a new tourist attraction. The Red Coral Festival in July and August every year attracts countless foreign tourists. The hills in the southwest are undulating, with cork (exporting cork has become a source of income for local residents) and oak trees. There are many animals and plants in the forest, which is ideal for hunting and mushroom picking. The clear spring in the mountains contains a variety of trace elements, which can treat diseases such as upper respiratory tract infections and bronchitis. The history of Tabaka is rich and varied, with Phoenician, Roman, Arab and Ottoman rule. The main attraction of Tabarka is the Genoese Fort, which is located on an island not far from the city center. The fortress dates back to the middle of the sixteenth century, when Tabaka was ruled by the Genoese. The main style was Genoese, but it also contained some fortifications built by the Ottomans.

We stayed for 5 nights as a family of four there were some ups and downs Advantages : big pool, suitable for children A Private beach which I found fantastic The pool area is very nice with a lot of greenery and views over the beach and the mountain The Hotel staff is very polite and hard working The food tastes good i appreciated it although I couldn’t eat much because of the crowds. Disadvantages For the price we payed and for a 4 star hotel The reception area is always crowded and disorganized also very very old , Kind of depressing really The restaurant is more than disorganized I can’t believe how people can function in such conditions Very very crowded and also very old tables and not so clean plates or covers if you can find them. No wifi available in bedrooms only the reception and barbecue area. The signal also is very bad. Overall I would give it at most 3 stars I thing it deserves to be rated as a 3 stars hotel not 4 not 5 The only solution is to renovate as soon as possible and to change the restauration policy in order to make it more organized and enjoyable

Hotel location is good, very close to the scenic beach, surrounded by many restaurants, eating is also convenient. Parking in your own street parking lot, guarded and safe. It may be the relationship between the off-season and the people. It is not very special, it is very quiet, and it is good for leisure and holiday. The price is also better and affordable. This is a place worth visiting, and a hotel worth living.
