If you want a quintessential Quinta stay, you’ll feel Quinta da Estrada meets your desires. No, it is not a glitzy resort. No sign out front. Bus tours don’t stop here. It is a farm with rooms, not a hotel. But that is part of the charm. You can get a good, unpretentious room and a solid breakfast. Send a WhatsApp in advance to their phone number to inquire about dinner, which offers two choices of entree each night. Luis and his staff work to make the place special. There is no one manning a 24x7 front desk, but on arriving at about 6:15pm, I found a staff member who called Luis, who came to greet us. He gave us solid advice for touring the area. On our second night he hosted a wine tasting, with three of the Quinta’s wines and two ports. It was very informative as we learned about winemaking in this ancient region. Resort: no. Spa: no. Glitzy: no. True Quinta Experience: YES.

Uma visita na sequência de uma aposta sobre o significado do rótulo (barco vs entrada da quinta) originou a visita à quinta! E que bela surpresa! Um senhor muito simpático, e la tive que pagar uma caixa de vinho ! Ofereceram-nos a receita e uma garrafa de Porto para um Porto tónico, que iremos experimentar no regresso a casa! De certeza que regressaremos!

Beautiful farm...people were very helpful...lovely setting...and great wines and information about wines and ports. Only issue was finding the place...they do not have a sign at the entrance to the property.

The accommodations are terrible. The bedroom does not have any comfort either because of the bad bed or the poor quality furniture. There are steps inside the room and without any warning, which can cause accidents. .Abusive price for such poor accommodation.We had just done the Camino de Santiago and saw better accommodation for 40 Euros and at the Quinta we paid close to 150 euros a day. Polite staff but the overall structure is deplorable. Only the cellars of the farm were reserved for guests. I really don't recommend it.- The view is beautiful but you can't leave everything to nature. Much regret

A great location with a great host - Luis - who ensured that we were comfortable and he exceeded our expectations at all times. Great breakfast prepared and delivered in our room. Great walk in the family winery with no limits - it made it more homely. Thanks for great hospitability.

🙂 Beautiful estate in the heart of the vineyards, in a quiet area (good geographical location if you are looking for tranquility and wide open spaces). Large bedroom with several beds, fridge, microwave, large private terrace. Welcome drink offered, possibility of swimming in the swimming pool and walking in the vineyards. ☹️ Not easy to find because no signposts on the road, unlike other areas. Cleanliness to be reviewed, especially in the bathroom, where the finishes are sloppy and the wear is very present. Breakfast to choose the day before for the next day, a little light and with little choice. Evening meal in supplement for 50€/person, out of price compared to what was served to us and to the prices practiced in the region.
