Midden in het pittoreske plaatsje Abalos ligt dit prachtige statige kleinschalige hotel. Het hotel ligt centraal gelegen in de Rioja streek. Vriendelijk eigenaar, spreekt ook Engels. Mooie schone ruime kamer, goede bedden, geweldige douche en goede wifi. Het avondeten en ontbijt is fantastisch. Op eigen afgesloten terrein gratis parkeren. Zomers heerlijke zitten op het terras met een Rioja wijn en tapa’s onder de druivenranken. Een absolute aanrader !

Feels like coming home, this is our third time stay at this amazing family hotel for the past one year. Fabolous place, very tasty food cooked by the wife and excellent welcome by the man, the two owner of the hotel. We can warmly recommend this family like hotel.

A short one-night stay but totally restorative. We will return on our getaways to the wine paradise of La Rioja. Perfect room with sheets that look like satin, bright, quiet, clean. The spectacular breakfast: eggs, country bread with seeds, good ham, natural yogurt and fruit salad, squeezed juice, loose tea...a 10. And on top of that, very good recommendations for wine tourism at our leisure. Thank you!

The hotel exceeded expectations. Super clean, comfortable and quiet room. I think the breakfast is the best and most complete I have had in this type of accommodation and Loles' attention is a plus). We had dinner at La Cocina de Merche and everything was delicious. And the location is unbeatable, a stone's throw from the forests of the Sierra de Cantabria and in the heart of the vineyards of the Rioja Alta. Want to repeat.

Excellent service. Fabulous food. Charmin, and spotlessly clean. The rooms are stark but clean and roomy enough, they have little homey touches without being kitschy, bathrooms small but adequate, the owners take care of small details, and the common areas are pleasant. Locals come here after work for a drink at the bar so the prices are reasonable. The food is excellent with fresh, quality ingredients superbly prepared, the dinner was fabulous and so was the breakfast, in fact we felt bad we couldn't finish it all. But what makes this place special is the owners, a most pleasant couple who take pride in what they do and aim to make their guests as welcome and comfortable as possible. You feel as if you are a cherished guest at a relative's home, but better. The town is very small and quaint but has little of interes, however it is only a few minutes from other towns, wineries, etc. So there is a lot to do in the area. We look forward to coming back.
