We had our first visit to the Elms Hotel and Spa in August last year as a birthday gift to my wife and have since been back several times either for a spa day or an overnight stay, although have never left a review, until now. We booked two nights in one of their 'Comfy Rooms' under their 'Stay 2 and save 10%' deal which included a 10% discount on pre-booked spa treatments. Unfortunately, when we added the spa treatments to our booking it did not show the 10% discount, therefore we booked the room without treatments and emailed directly with the booking reference to take advantage of the offer. A few emails went back and forth and our treatments were booked. We were checked in around 4 pm by a very friendly lady who remembered us from a previous visit, which is impressive as we haven't been since February! She showed us to our room and we were very happy with the room we received. Well decorated, well equipped and had a plentiful supply of amenities. The bed felt very firm at first, but we both slept like babies for our entire stay, so no complaints there! The shower/bath facilities supplied nice hot water, however the shower pressure was rather pathetic. The spa is amazing, it's what brings us back again and again. The friendly staff, the relaxed atmosphere, the pool, the jacuzzi, the saunas, the chilled fruit water and endless supply of apples, just wonderful. They appear to have made a few changes since our last visit, including a new sauna / hot room with an outdoor view which is very nicely done. They've also now fixed their, hmm how to describe it 'immersive shower'? A shower room that has different options (a bit like a carwash!) from a jungle waterfall experience with all the sounds and colours that go with it, to a cool glacial shower mist - I have to say, I've never showered so much in my life! When I enquired with the spa receptionist as to the times of our booked treatments (bad memory and all) she couldn't find them on the system but could see my previous email trail. She was incredibly helpful and managed to book us in for our preferred treatments, still with the 10% discount and accommodate our request to go from 30-minute to hour-long treatments. I wish I caught the name of this delightful lady to compliment her personally on what a great job she did the day she was on duty. On reception, taking drinks/snacks orders, brushing the wet floor, clearing rubbish and empty glasses, re-stocking the coffee cups and machines, the list goes on. Honestly, everywhere we turned that day she was flying around! While the other spa staff were perfectly pleasant during our stay, this lady really shone out, so, thank you! I should add a note too to say the treatments themselves were also very pleasant, we've tried them before and they lived up to expectations! The only thing that unfortunately did not live up to expectations was the breakfast. Now don't get me wrong, there was nothing glaringly wrong with breakfast, but when every other asp
