Residence Hotel la Grace

Dès mon arrivée le 16/01 je me suis rendue à mon hôtel où l'accueil a été plutôt chaleureuse. Sauf que j'ai passé 3 jours sans prendre mon petit déjeuner par faute d'informations 😔 mais bon

We were supposed to stay at the La Grace hotel from September 1st to 19th but we left the hotel after 10 days. We were in room 14 on the first floor. When going up the stairs, there was often a "poop" smell (sorry to say it so bluntly) towards the door that led to the stairs. As for the room, it was infested with cockroaches. We thought during the debate that it was one or two cockroaches and that it was not a big deal. But it was a real infestation. The cockroaches even climbed onto the bed, suffice to say that for someone phobic of these beasts, it was excruciating. Every time we came back from our excursions we were afraid to open the door because there were around ten of them scattered everywhere every evening. Big ones, small ones… in short, horror. We made sure to close the door to the kitchenette and the bathroom to reduce the infestation, because they were lodged in all the corners, cracks...etc. We managed to change rooms the day before our departure, but we Still found a few cockroaches in the room which had been prepared for us on the ground floor. Tired of these animals, we left the hotel to better enjoy our stay. Besides, it's strange that no review mentions this problem so I think this one could perhaps be useful to others. Concerning the wifi, the connection was not great, we had to go down to reception to have a good connection. The room lacked a little maintenance and updating, but nothing too serious for a short stay. Apart from that the air conditioning worked, no mosquitoes, TV that works, professional staff. It's just a matter of cockroach problem and lack of room maintenance.

It's a beautiful living environment, I discovered this place in May 2016 and since then I have chosen this residence every time I visit Abidjan.
