Exceptional in every respect. A beautiful house. An enchanting location. Fabulous breakfast. But exceeding all of that, such wonderful hospitality. Thank you Joyce and Garry for your warm, generous and kind welcome and for your support during our stay. We’ll remember our couple of days with you for a very long time, and hope to visit again should we ever return to that magical part of the world.

Lys na greyne guest house was perfect!! From the welcome by Garry, to our luxurious bedroom and bathroom. The house was totally glorious and breakfast served by Joyce was perfect.

Whatever you think a standard for a good B&B is....think again : after having experienced a two nights stay @ Lys-Na-Greyne (too short !!) we were thrilled about the unbelievable warm welcome of Joyce & Garry ! Never we had this "homecoming" feeling like we had it with them ! The atmosphere in this place is warm, unique and at the same so classy ! Rooms & places are clean, cosy and as said : we wish we could have staid longer ! Breakfast is delicious and the view we had during having it was simply top ! Could go on for a while but you need to experience it yourself ! Thank you once more Joyce & Garry for the warm welcome ! We will be back ! :-) Jessica & Roland - Belgium

Stunning family run hotel which is also their home. Beautiful location. Can not fault. Just about everything thought about and provided for. Even things you didn’t realise that you could need. We were so glad to have left this stay until last as nothing else would live up to this. Our recommendation is to save the best to last on your travels. If anyone is looking for jewellery can thoroughly recommend Roman Jewellery in Ballater.

Lys-Na-Greyne is the excellent place to relax and to get pampered. The building is wonderful, the rooms are spacious and are better than in every hotel. A wonderful breakfast is served every morning. And last but not least: Joyce and Garry are the best hosts you can imagine. It'a a 5 Star experience with love.

Yes Comments about this property An outstanding stay in every way. From the tea and cake on Arrival, the Honesty Bar facilities were impeccable as were all the facilities. In particular the hosts made us feel so welcome and cared for us throughout our stay to ensure this was the best B&B we have ever stayed at. In fact it feels incorrect to call it a B&B as the house, hosts and facilities were far superior than anything we have stayed at. Tips for other travellers Make time to enjoy the guests lounge and a glass of wine for their impressively stocked Honesty Bar. All of the food served is locally sourced and caringly prepared by the hosts. A true feast. Enjoy your stay.
