The hotel was just okay. Bathrooms were not very clean. The beds were hard like bricks. Air-conditioning kept stopping and the staff had to keep coming to reset the breakers. Water leaked out of the showers. The view from two of the bedrooms were of the slum community.

We returned to Accra from other parts of Ghana for one night prior to flying home. We stayed at Frankie's because our previous hotel (Urbano) was booked. Many of the things I noted in the review of Urbano apply to Frankie's - well located on Oxford Road. The room at Frankie's was the largest we had in Accra. Also the wi-fi was the best we had. Staff were friendly and helpful. There is no elevator in the hotel. The entrance is up a flight of stairs from the street -- this makes it probably a bit quieter than Urbano though less accessible for some. The breakfast is served in the restaurant in the hotel. It is included with the room. It is not a buffet; one selects from a menu. Nonetheless it was very good. We were very pleased with Frankie's

This is a really nice little hotel, well located. The room I had was a lovely suite with effective air conditioning to counter the humidity and plenty of space. a couple of small oddities such as no plus on the kitchen surface which means the kettle or coffee machine needs to be put on the floor to use them and the smoking area right outside the door but otherwise I was really happy with it and also found the small restaurant perfectly sufficient. Only when checking out did it all go wrong, the day prior to checking out I had requested an airport transfer and the lady at reception had confirmed this was booked and had written it down. I had once again asked the lady behind the counter on the check out day to confirm it was booked and she confirmed it was. I was therefore rather surprised, as I waited outside the reception with my case, ready to be picked up, for the porter to come out and ask whether i would prefer top wait an hour, which I did not. he went inside, returning after a few minutes and said there was no car available. I went inside and explained once again that i had booked a transfer and had it confirmed. Another lady appeared and said no booking had been made and perhaps I should get an uber. Eventually the porter was asked to drive me to the airport once I had lost my patience. This evident mess up could easily have been rectified by a simple apology and what transpired to be the eventual solution but no such apology came, indeed the attitude was disdainful and rude. Because of this I only give it two stars and won’t return, a little bit of customer service goes a long way.

The reason this hotel is great is because of proximity. Kukun and JamesTown/Alley are within a 5 min walk. Osu is the place to be.

My sister and I stayed at the Axis Suite Hotel end of February 2024. The hotel was very modern, clean and spacious. The staff members were incredibly warm, friendly and welcoming and went out of their way to ensure our stay was comfortable and enjoyable especially Ola, Vera, Beatrice and Rhoda. They were very accommodating to support us in arranging trips so that we could experience a wonderful holiday in Ghana. Our first holiday in Ghana has truly been amazing. We have already recommended to family and friend. We certainly look forward to another trip to Ghana and this hotel in the future.

Comfortable hotel, very friendly and welcoming. Nice if small pool . Convenient location and quiet. Felt very safe . Food very good. Only thing is it could take hours to arrive …my colleague ordered a pizza and it took three hours no kidding. It became a bit of a joke. Also laundry took days to come back. Had to ask for towels to be replaced (ie they were taken away but no new ones put in) Lots of sockets in the room but not many worked. Staff went out of their way for an ingenious workaround . It’s very Africa … they’ll do anything for you and really friendly, but it can take time . Would I stay here again? For sure! It’s better than average , just not sure it’s “very” good
