So many activities! Axe throwing, archery, horseback riding, fishing, bicycling, and on and on. So many wonderful spots to sit and enjoy each other! Fire pits, beer gardens, meditation areas…it is stunning. We loved it.

So many things wrong with this resort, it is set in a beautiful location lovely golf course nice spa but that's where things end. You have to request daily housekeeping believe it or not. These folks are still living in 2020. You heard me right, you must request housekeeping service. The coffee service for our cottage suite included two pods of coffee for me and my wife Rather than four or six. And two very small bottles of water with no way to get additional water other than the tap. And frankly I don't trust these taps They had a price menu for the honor bar, but there was nothing in the honor bar. We requested in room dining for breakfast. We were told it would take 15 to 20 minutes. It took 40 minutes when I got my bill for dinner the first night we were there, I added a significant gratuity, even though the bill seemed high, I didn't check it, shame on me. when I was presented the next bill, it seemed pretty high for dinner and I looked at the bill and it included a 20% service charge. Nobody even bothered to tell me that was included in the bill. Set your expectations before you come to this place that you are not going to get extraordinary service and you have to request housekeeping. If you expect nothing service wise, then you'll probably have your expectations met I will say that the cigar offering at the bar at the Woodlands Grill was pretty vast. However, every cigar that I pulled out, and I had four of them, was hard and brittle. None of them were smokable. To the managers credit he did give me a free Davidoff. That cigar was actually smokable. And his credit he bought my wife and I and my son and daughter-in-law round of drinks for the hassle with the cigars earlier in the day that was a rather redeeming moment for me at this resort. Door to our room didn't work Safe didn't work Very tired soft goods - same items that were here when we stayed 12 years ago and even then it looked 20 years old Very tired property

Beautiful resort! We went during the week during the holidays, so the food variety wasn't great.

It was a nice relaxing getaway! The resort was nice. I'm sure more beautiful in the spring, more flowers. It was a nice day in February. We enjoyed walking the entire grounds and enjoyed the history of the ruins of the old house. Plan on going back soon to play golf and horseback riding. The Inn was nice, comfy beds and delicious snacks. Grill on the resort was Very Pricey $$$

The resort is pretty cool and enjoyed the weekend. Unfortunately there a lot of feral cats on the property. We had a family living under or cabin and kept getting smell of cat spray/urine. Left a day early due to that. We had clay target shooting booked at 1 the day we left. After going to the shooting range we were asked if we wanted to change but did not make sense as we were leaving the next morning anyway. Felt like some offer or discount should have been provided but nothing was offered.

We stayed in the Queen's suite several nights after Christmas and it was exactly what we needed. Barnsley is such a beautiful and unique property and the service was excellent. We enjoyed the atmosphere of the Grill, facials in the spa, biking, the museum at the Manor House Ruins, live music, a champagne tasting and dinner in the Rice House where Reeves and Sherwin took excellent care of me. I want to add that my husband got really sick while we were there and the concierge (I wish I could remember her name) sent up homemade soup, crackers and Sprite. Such a kind and thoughtful gesture. We were scheduled to shoot the Beretta course but decided to forgo that since my husband was sick. The grounds are lovely and I enjoyed walking, hiking and the meditation garden. We will definitely make a return trip in the spring!

Great love storys deserve great telling. This Resort tells a love story amazingly well through the facilities, the staff, and the experience. The entire facility was amazing, and the staff made you feel like a friend, not just one of a large number of guests.
