처음으로 아프리카 방문하는거라서 긴장되고 걱정되었는데 Sheraton Hotel에 머무는 기간동안 편안함과 안정을 누렸습니다. 하루에도 수차례 방응 정리해주었고 호텔안을 다니다가 마주치는 직원들은 항상 밝게 웃으며 인사해주었습니다. 시설이 약간은 오래된 느낌도 있었지만 건물의 스타일과 전빈적인 분위기가 나름의 고풍스러움과 편안함을 선사했습니다.
다른분들의 경험을 참고하여 아침식사 패키지를 미리 확인하여 오해가 없게하였고,
손님이 와서 미팅을 해야하는데 공개된 장소는 어수선해서 곤란하여 마지막 하루는 4층에 있는 Executive Lounge를 이용하기위해 $55(USD)추가로 지불하고 업그레이드 하여서 점심식사, 저녁식사를 제공받는 서비스를 이용하고 미팅도 진행했습니다.
아침식사는 1층에서 뷔페스타일로하는 패키지가 이미 가입 되었지만 4층에서 식사를 이용했고 오믈렛등을 요청하면 동일하게 준비해 주므로 편하고 조용하게 4층에서 식사를 하고 그곳에서의 숙박을 마무리했습니다.
공항셔틀이 있어서 너무 편하게 공항을 오고간것도 좋았습니다.

I did my reservation through *******. At check-in the receptionist forgot to take the deposit. I thought that it was made automatically when I did my reservation online. I then decided to have my breakfast. A lady asked about my room number. Everything was fine so far, until I signed the check. The waiter told me that I didn’t have any credit at the hotel. I wasn’t sure about what was happening. I told him that I already checked in. He looked at me and went to talk to his superior. Since that moment all the staff was looking at me as if I did something wrong. All eyes were on me as if I was about to escape, and for what? A plain breakfast of less than 30 USD.! At the moment I was leaving, the same lady who asked about my room number, took the phone and called one of the waiters. He immediately came running after me. He said Mum something is wrong, and that I should follow him to the reception. I never felt so humiliated in my life. I went to the reception and the receptionist apologized and asked for my credit card and proceeded with the deposit. The waiter was still standing there as if he was escorting a thief.
Later on I went for a walk inside the hotel and passed by the pool and when I tried to enter the pool, someone from the hotel told me that I have to pay to get inside!!!!. He was so rude that I didn’t even have time to explain that I was a guest.
The management has to review the staff behavior, except for the receptionists who were very nice and helpful.

The hotel is beautiful, with perfectly manicured grounds, a large lobby, fountains, gardens, and a pool. However, the hotel is a special event factory. Business meetings and weddings are constant. The special events are given precedence and they close the pool and block access to the gym as necessary to facilitate banquets. After a long day of work, all I wanted to do was relax and go to sleep. However, I couldn’t work out or swim, or even sleep, because the noise from the music kept me up until 2:30am on a Sunday night. On the night I arrived from the airport, it took me an hour to access the hotel compound from the street because the parking lot had filled up with a wedding, and hotel security wouldn't admit any more cars - even for drop-off - until cars left. The on-site restaurants were good, but expensive. The breakfast was extensive, and the staff was very attentive to my needs and special requests

A central place to stay in Addis with some luxury and high-end services. The Sheraton was pretty fancy for Addis when built. There are others in its class now but it holds its own. This is partly because the location is excellent, partly because it has been well-maintained. There is a good choice of restaurants - not adventuresome but good quality. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. The grounds are pleasant though not expansive. There is a gym with basic equipment. I was there for a board meeting which received decent support, but there was a lack of medium-sized rooms. We ended up too often with 15 people in a room for 500.

My experience here was really unexpected. The concierge Jemaldin was helpful in making all the arrangements and even accommodating request to change money to pay to the tour company who credit card machine was not working. House keeping kept the rooms clean with loads of water and attentive to request to change flower etc., They do all the hardwork with a smile and I did not forget that. When I went for breakfast and said I had allergies the chef @ Summerfields immediately took action and ensured that I had special food for my breakfast. The group I appreciated the most were the chef and staff at Shaheen. They made me feel so at home even though I was dining alone every night. They serve the best food and are always smiling. They were professional and engaged with the customer ensuring that the food was upto expectations. I am very grateful to them and will always remember them as they went all out to ensure that I was not unattended. In all my travels I never had anyone do this to me. On my last night at the hotel once I have finished my meal and ask for the bill, they were so cute and ask me to sit down instead of walking to the front. Then they switched off the lights and there came out a cake saying “Bon Voyage”. I felt so touched and I would like the management of the hotel to acknowledge their extra efforts and beyond my expectations customer services. Well done people Keep up the good work.

The rooms were warm and made it uncomfortable to sleep. Very professional and pleasant staff at reception and restaurants. Lovely grounds around the hotel to walk around and relax. I had an excellent stay, enjoyed it, and would recommend it to anyone. I also look forward to going back and staying there again.
