Guzara Hotel Addis

Our stay at Guzara was excellent. They are a family run hotel. Very clean, friendly staff, fresh and yummy food. This was my first time here and my wife’s third. They provided transportation from and to the airport. Every aspect made our stay very pleasant.

The quiet environment, friendly and very hospitable staff made my stay a happy one. There is wifi, very secure hotel. Thank you for the care that really made me feel home. I got a headache due to the long journey and I was given some painkillers to make me feel better . My Embassy appoin**ent was very timely , Airport pickup and dropoff was awesome. I recommend Guzara Hotel to anyone wishing to visit Addis Ababa

Excellent customer trea**ent with humility and respect. The room was so clean and beautiful, the place was so peaceful, the breakfast was so delicious. I spent one night in this hotel but I feel like home. Overall this is one of the best hotels in Addis. keep the Guzara !!!

Where to begin, my stay at Guzara hotel was a satisfaction of a life time. I would look for a general word but all that would be an understatement. The sayin’ “ home away from home “ is as real as it gets... the host along with the family members went above and beyond with accommodating our needs and even in most cases went out there way for their guests, so that the guests did not feel caged in. The room is cleaned daily, and the food downstairs even makes you not want to go back up to the room with how good it taste. All in all this it can not be beat with the peaceful/privacy and location that the hotel offers,. Needless to say I will be back again & recommend anyone who wish to enjoy their stay in the mother land. Last but certainly not least, they also offers tours around historical places to see, therefore all you need to bring is a hat and shades.

I also very much appreciated the kind attention and care of your wife and son through very tasty breakfasts and suppers with authentic Ethiopian cooking. Thank you too to your other staff such as Tensai and Zenesh on reception and the hotel guard. All were genuinely very friendly and helpful and you can be proud of your team! My room was clean and lovely and spacious. It had a very comfortable bed, and since your hotel it situated in a quiet area, I always had a good sleep! There was also plenty of hot water and the electricity supply and wifi were regular. The wifi had one or two very minor interruptions, but your son very kindly sorted these out very quickly. I have no hesitation in recommending your hotel as a great place to stay. Your customers should know that a trip into town will take about 1 hour or more (due to the traffic in Addis) by Uber-type taxi, but this is not a problem - it is just something that should be planned for. A single trip to the centre of Addis cost me 360 birr (about $6.70) - which was a fair price given the time taken and distance. Your customers should know that hotels nearer the centre of town are more expensive, so even though you may pay $13 USD per day on taxis to town and back, you will still save money compared to a more expensive hotel in the centre of town. Also, customers should note that they can travel much more cheaply by minibus (maybe taking two minibuses from Guzara into town for less than $1 in total there and back). I used to travel by minibus, but did not do so on this 1 week trip to Addis because I had less time and didn’t have the time to take slower minibuses. Thank you all so much! I hope we meet again. I was looking for a quite place near the international airport and near Bole. I was lucky enough to find a room at Guzara Hotel. The amazing English speaking staff made sure everything was ok and were extremely helpful and polite during my entire stay. The neighborhood is safe and silent during the night. The rooms were always clean and with warm water. You can't ask for anything more

If you are looking for a place close to the international airport, close to Bole and in a silent area far from busy streets you don't need to look any further. The staff was incredibly polite and the rooms always clean. I will definitely come back next time

This was one of my best hotel stays in Addis. Guzara exceeded my expectations in many ways: a free airport shuttle; great location away from the main road (if you cherish the quality of your sleep); a very homely a**osphere and helpful staff… all for a very reasonable price. The room I stayed in was average-sized but very cozy and clean; the food is amazing! I now have a hotel to return to for my regular business trips to Addis.
