GF Victoria

This was our 5th time staying at GF Victoria and again it didn’t disappoint. We left feeling cared about and cared for. The staff are amazing and this has been the case on each of our visits. Nothing is too much trouble and they always have a friendly word. They all seem genuinely happy. Although the best thing about this hotel is the staff, it’s not all. 5* luxury and great service awaits. Great for families, kids pool and game room in basement keeps them entertained. A few very young babies and I would be very comfortable taking a newborn to GF Victoria. Fridge and microwave in rooms, senior suites good size. Recommend pool view room. And to add to all that, whatever scent the diffusers are is gorgeous!

Excellent, I’ve never stayed somewhere so lovely! As the hotel is quite new everything looks really nice. The staff are so friendly and helpful. I appreciated small touches like: Food and drink ordered around pool is brought to your sunbed. Never any queues at buffet or at bars to order. Loads of sunbeds around pool - whatever time of day always got three together. Towel change every day Water for mini fridge everyday Thorough housekeeping/ cleaning everyday. All in all would definitely recommend.

Just spent a week at the GF Victoria with my husband 😎 The hotel was just fabulous from start to finish. The staff were very professional & friendly. The maids were polite & friendly. The rooms were very modern & immaculate!! The food was delicious, drinks & cocktails were amazing!! Will definitely be back to the GF it’s been one of the best hotels we’ve stayed in Thank you GF our holiday was perfect😎

Had a wonderful holiday to this hotel in 2023 but oh how things have changed. Still lovely food in the buffet restaurant and the a la carte restaurant “Donaire” but now the hotel is very much focused on families and this is no longer a quiet location for a couples holiday. Main problems are: There is no longer a quiet pool at the hotel to lay peacefully and read a book or have a nap. Reception say that the first floor level pool is still a quiet pool but there is no signage about and as a consequence children fill the pool with frisbees, balls etc and who can blame them. All that’s needed is some signs about but when we explained this to reception guess what? Nothing happened. The gym which was located next to the spa in 2023 has now been moved into a basement level. No longer any windows to look out of and for the time that we were there the door would not close properly and so the air conditioning would not work. Who can work out at 30 degrees? We informed reception and guess what? Nothing happened. The gym equipment is now tired and half of it not working and desperately needs replacing. It seems to me that the total focus for this hotel is families and they are no longer interested in attracting retired couples. We will not be returning

A fantastic experience, absolute luxury, faultless service and facilities and lots of over expectation extras. Would recommend to anyone staying with a family and very quiet and peaceful in mid September. Wonderful breakfasts and the entertainment staff at the family pool are particularly brilliant.

This was our 2nd visit to GF Victoria. Hotel is in a great location with lots of dining options close by. We used the quiet pool area and never had an issues with sun loungers. In comparison to our last visit we found the pool service to be lacking and opted not to use it much as a result. The room suited us perfectly with 2 tweens, sadly they’ll be too old for this arrangement in future. We were b&b. Breakfast was ok, lots of choice. Again we would choose the outside area as it was quieter. The option of a courtesy room is great and means you can enjoy all of your stay. The only negative was the check in, we arrived in the evening and there was a complete lack of a welcome from the receptionist, a smile costs nothing. That said check out was a much more pleasant experience but shows how the experience can be affected by one individual.

Disappointing 2nd stay! Not suitable for couple, suitable for family with children only…. What was the quiet pool allows kids to play, my husband got hit by a freezby and I got hit by a ball! Created friction with some guests as I said it was a quiet pool and they said no sign to that effect!! Some of the Sunbed’s were broken… The gym has moved to underground with door not closing so air conditioning doesn’t go below 24C which is not suitable to exercice, equipments old and broken! Guess trying to out people off to use it…& they obviously only say Gym to get the 5* but not useable. TV not working and keep freezing or says loading for ever… we enjoyed our stay so much last year but will think twice before returning and looking to give a go to the Tivoli in la Caleta which has a pool adults only, new gym equipments and a lounge facility as it seems Victor hotel only want the family business. I went to reception a couple of times to pass all of these comments but did t go anywhere! Such a disappointment but they don’t seem to care much…
