Galaxy Hotel

The location was perfect and the rooftop bar was amazing!!

We had a lovely stay at the Galaxy. The room was spacious and very clean. The pool area is beautiful and the service is excellent. Elena at the front desk was incredibly informative, pleasant, and very welcoming. We were surprised at how close the beach was to the property! The old town is also a 10 minute walk where everything is happening. We would not hesitate to return. Thanks for a great experience in Naxos!

Fabulous hotel. Amazing pool & bar. Good selection of beers & cocktails. Great breakfast included. Spotlessly clean & the most amazing flowers & trees around the gardens & pool area. Short walk to the beach & bars & restaurants. Naxos we ❤️ u!

We arrived at the Galaxy hotel (me and my wife) after a hot and sticky walk from the ferry ready for our penultimate hotel stay of this year’s holiday. Let me tell you about the positive stuff first, unfortunately there aren’t that many. Harry at the pool bar was excellent, very helpful, very enthusiastic and generally a good guy. The staff at next doors hotel at breakfast were also helpful and worked hard around the breakfast room. The location was very good as it was a nice walk into the centre of Naxos and very close to the beach. I think that has covered the positive side of our stay, so onto the negative. On arrival, even though extremely hot we didn’t get offered a drink, not even water. We were a little early arriving at 2 but we had hoped we would have got our room. We were told that it would be ready by 3 so we sat in reception for 45 minutes doing some admin etc and it still wasn’t ready. We decided to go to the bar for a drink and went back to reception at 4. There was a slight delay, but we managed to get into our room at 4.15. The floor was soaking so we didn’t want to go in and make a mess. It took another 30 minutes before we managed to get into our room, a full 1 hr 45 minutes after we should have got in. The one thing I noticed from looking in from the door was that the room didn’t have a sea or pool view that we had paid for. I went for a look around and looking up at the room from the ground, it didn’t have a pool view and if it had a sea view, it would be very limited. I went to reception and queried this and the rude receptionist snapped back at me stating that this was one of the hotels best sea view rooms. Let me state that it couldn’t have been further from the truth. I asked if any other rooms were available but she stated that the hotel was full so we couldn’t move. This was very disappointing as the view from the room was the balcony on the room opposite. When we went out on the extremely tiny balcony, you could see the building site across the road, the balcony of the room opposite or a sea view. The receptionist was very quick to point out that the terms and conditions blah blah blah stated that a sea view was classed as viewing the sea from the room or balcony and she immediately showed me the web page where it stated this. I’m certain that this has been asked before by the speed and snappiness of her response. This is not my interpretation of a sea view as most hotels state a side view of the sea etc and don’t mislead you like the Galaxy hotel. Of all the other hotels we have stayed in during this holiday, I had never been spoken to like a small child, which was very disappointing, and I now had the hump. The room we had booked was a double room, it stated this on the website. I expected a double bed, but we had a twin room with twin beds. Another way of misleading the customers as again further down the room description it stated that you could get a room with either a double or twin beds.

A really nice hotel in a good location. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was served in an adjacent hotel under common ownership, but that was not at all inconvenient. Good choice of buffet at breakfast. The pool area was well looked after and quiet. We enjoyed our stay.

Was very impressed by this hotel. Stayed for a few nights during our first visit to Naxos. It’s located right by the beach, with two swimming pools, a pool-side bar and plenty of sunbeds. Pool “opening hours” are 11am-7.30pm, which is a bit of a late opening but it’s not enforced. The room was very spacious (a sofa to put our suitcases on! A seating area outside!) and comfortable. The staff were helpful and friendly. The hotel is only a 2 min walk from beach-bars and restaurants. Would definitely stay again!

We spent 3 nights at the Galaxy Hotel. The room was fine but very tight between bed and bathroom and bed and balcony door. Bathroom had minimal amenities. Nothing special. Towels were thin and worn. Not “ luxurious” at all. Pool towels are very worn and thin. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. We used the same day laundry service which was good. Breakfast located a short walk to adjacent hotel and was very nice. Beautiful outdoor location with sea views. The location of the Galaxy Hotel is good. Beach is across the street and easy access to town . Walked to restaurants every night.

We enjoyed our stay at the Galaxy Hotel for 6 nights. It has been acquired by owners of the Naxos Resort as well, and that restaurant and pool are now available to Galaxy guests. The pool at the Galaxy was great. Large with plenty of chairs while we were there. The walk to the beach was very doable with our 9 year old. The beach chairs and umbrellas were half price to hotel guests at 15 euros for a pair with an umbrella. The breakfast at the Naxos Resort was very good, though similar every morning. The rooms are older but kept clean. It was a small room with a nice patio and was enough room for the three of us. The AC worked great! It is in a great location, a little outside of the hustle and bustle but very walkable to many restaurants. A market is right down the street.

We stayed for three nights at the Galaxy in Naxos, and wish it could have been longer. It is perfectly located, a few minutes’ walk from a lovely beach and only a short stroll from Naxos town. The pool is delightful with sun beds and well sized umbrellas and an attendant constantly available to bring drinks and snacks etc. There was no loud music blaring from the pool bar, making it feel peaceful and classy. Breakfast at the neighbouring Naxos Beach Resort was a banquet, with a wide array of delicious choices and polite and helpful staff. Tables are available outside so you can sit and overlook the Naxos Beach Resort pool. The Galaxy has lovely gardens and the rooms are designed in Cycladic style courtyards and have excellent modern amenities. We would definitely return to this hotel and are already recommending it to family and friends.
