The domes of elounda is a wonderful resort with kind staff who will do whatever they can to make your stay memorable, a lovely a**osphere and an amazing beach with a wonderful water sport centre. Upon arrival we were greeted by a very helpful and kind staff member. We then decided to visit the pool which was very clean and modern. When we got back to our room we discovered our hot tub was not functioning but after a couple of days an amazing staff member called Stella helped us fix it and gave us a large discount. The only downside is the food, all the restaurants are clean and new however the food is not amazing. For breakfast i recommend visiting blend rather than tholos. Even thought the food is not great this hotel provided us with a fantastic experience that we wont forget. 4*

A wonderful hotel for families. The spa experience and massage with Melina was superb. Really professional and a trip highlight. The restaurant food was fabulous with enough variety over a 2 week stay. The buggy rides were appreciated over the sprawling hilly site. Would love to come back.

The position on the hillside is stunning looking over the sea to Spinalonga. We had a room with an amazing uninterrupted view and really spacious terrace. Housekeeping was really good, regularly replenished lovely white fluffy towels and turndown with water each night. Don’t understand though that tea and coffee station was never replaced and had to keep asking every couple of days for more tea bags. The actual position of our room was accessed by quite a dangerous slippy slope which would not be suitable for any body with mobility problems. We were very careful how we walked to avoid slipping and falling. This is a huge complex, and Although many of the rooms can be accessed by golf cart I would say walking could be a hazard for anybody. In fact we saw a lady in a wheelchair and was told by other guests she had fallen and broken her leg and ankle. It was sad as she was confined to either her room or the main reception area. There is no way you could push a wheelchair round here so is not for the physically disabled. The buffet was very noisy with children. There is a very small adult area but that doesn’t stop children running between your chairs and shouting. The first night we were sat at a table next to another couple and really struggled to hear what they were saying above the din. We then decided to go to dinner late to avoid the main rush of children. In my opinion I would not recommend this to holiday makers who are not bringing children. I am not aware of the facilities offered for families, but know there is a family pool and kids club and from overhearing some of the families, I got the impression that they were happier with the resort than couples. The food at the buffet was I would say average. The quality of food is high and there were some really tasty things to try. However, it was very short staffed and people were getting frustrated waiting for their drinks, waiting for certain foods to be replenished, searching for bowls or cutlery. The restaurant staff are very busy as they were rushed off their feet but managed to remain very friendly and professional trying to do their best. The adult pool area is not over inspiring, it is better by the sea. This can be accessed by a really pleasant walk down steps from the adult pool area and via a tunnel under the road. The loungers both around the pool and by the sea are very comfortable. It is a 15-20 minute walk to Plaka which is a lovely little fishing village. The shops are classy (no tat) and we enjoyed having drinks or something to eat. In our opinion far nicer but a lot smaller than Elounda.

Where to begin, I guess the title says it all however, I will provide some detail. This was our second visit following our first in September last year and once again, we stayed for ten nights. It's maybe important to say, this was only the third time we have been back to the same hotel/resort in all our years of travel, and the only one we have left wanting to visit again. So... Everything was perfect from start to finish. We were warmly welcomed back and taken to our room, which was beautiful. Very well appointed, a lovely view and with everything you could possibly require for a more than enjoyable holiday. The location of the resort is wonderful, the views are stunning and it's within walking distance of the very pretty village of Plaka and a short taxi ride to Elounda. This was our eighth visit to Crete and the Bay of Mirabello is one of our favourite spots in the world. The resort is a feast for the eyes and very well managed. The management team are not sat in offices, but very visible making sure this very well oiled establishment continues to provide an excellent experience for its guests . A special thanks to Lena, it was always lovely to see you. We spent most of our days on the lovely beach, and we totally disagree with what TonyBCambs said about it in his recent review, we love it! No, it's not the Maldives, but then it doesn't pretend to be. We were also very well looked after by the beach team and especially enjoyed our daily chats with Scott (on that TonyBCambs and we do agree). Thanks to Manos, Nikos, Joanna and her cousin and the other lovely lady and gentleman whose names escape me, if I have missed anyone, I am sorry, it's not deliberate, you are all fantastic. A very, very special thank you has to go to the team at AKTI I910 for their amazing lunches, which we enjoyed most days. I have an allergy and the restaurant manager and chef went out of their way to provide us with beautifully executed, really good, tasty food, which we are missing already and again, the entire team is brilliant (those mussels and that strawberry cheesecake!). Now to a subject that has been mentioned many times on this forum, children and yes, there are lots of them. Did they in any way spoil our holiday? No, quite the opposite in fact, we don't think there is anything nicer than hearing the little ones squeal with delight at their first dip in the sea and seeing the older ones enjoy family time. There are also lots of adult only areas if that's what you prefer, we just don't. Value for money? We have come home (reluctantly) feeling refreshed, rested, thoroughly well looked after and very spoiled. Our holidays are very important to us as we believe life is about making memories, Domes doesn't come cheap, but you cannot put a price on a good time! A beautiful, elegant resort, excellent staff throughout and a truly great break. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff in order to make your holiday perfect. The free golf buggy service which is for everyone from door to door was invaluable as my husband has limited mobility - thank you. A special mention to Breeze Beach Bar run by Manos and his team of superb people who work every minute to make your stay as perfect as they can with professionalism, a very warm greeting and great cocktails. We will never forget our time at Domes of Elounda and plan to return soon.

Amazing location, incredible view and service!! Staffs are very friendly and really want to assist you,as soon we walked out the taxi we received a warm welcome from the gatekeeper and the guest relation girl ,we had a welcome drink at the balcony and the view was just wow. The resort is very spreaded so it never feels crowded and noisy,they have a golf club service that drives you around the resort whenever you need them, the drivers are always happy to give us a lift and never waited more than 5mins for a ride. Boufet at tholos had unlimited options and varietys which was very nice,we had dinner once at blend and once at akti restaurants, which both of them had an amazing food and service, but we preferred tholos which was easier for our kids :) The beach and the pool where our favourite place to spend our day to relax, so make sure to visit both!

The hotel is a very large 5 star complex with such friendly staff and incredible high quality accommodation. Private beach excellent. Having previously reported some issues, the management response, and in particular from Lena Patsoni was immediate and highly professional. We ate in Makris restaurant within the hotel which was of very high quality. The service and friendliness of staff was impressive. Thank you for a memorable week!

From the moment we arrived we felt the 'WOW' factor. The welcome drink with that incredible view was wonderful. We were then swiftly taken to our villa by golf buggy and met with two wonderful ladies who showed us around. We stayed in a 2 Bedroom Luxury Residence and I think I can safely say, with working in travel for 20+ years, this was the best 'room' I've ever stayed in. Everything about it oozed elegance and the private terrace and pool were just magical, not to mention the view. The pool remained warm throughout our stay and was so very welcoming after a day out exploring. Two full bathrooms, an oversized king size bedroom, a twin room, a kitchenette with a kettle, coffee machine, microwave, fridge, cooker, small sink and even a dishwasher. You won't want for anything. The bed was super comfy and there was AC and ceiling fans in every room. I was a little apprehensive before going as I knew the resort was very large and built on either sides of a hill. I needn't worry as there are golf buggies everywhere and we never waited more than a couple of minutes for a ride. Location wise, it's perfect. Elounda is beautiful and we walked to the lovely little village of Plaka and got on a boat over to Spinalonga - a total must see. Only an hour from Heraklion airport, a pleasant drive. To some this may be a strange comment, but comfort is important. We really loved that the seats everywhere (lounges and restaurants) were always really comfortable! The food was excellent, breakfast had endless choice and even the evening buffets were plentiful and always fresh and tasty. The outdoor gym is fun with a great view. If you have Haute living (included with the Residences) you'll also have access to a nice indoor gym. The Haute living lounge was great; all day snacks and drinks, including wines and beer during the day and some spirits in the evening. We'd really recommend the Haute living. I had a look at the spa and it looked wonderful, with a pool, jacuzzi, couples trea**ents and steam/sauna. We thought the beach was just perfect, nice ambiance, great snacks and drinks and travelling as a couple, we appreciated the 'quiet' zone. You don't need to cross the road to access the beach, which is a private beach. The nearest A** is located away from the hotel, so bring cash if you want to tip the wonderful staff - they certainly deserve it as they all work very hard.

This was our second visit to the hotel since 2009 when it first opened. We were the first two guests on honey moon and stayed in Owner's Villa, with private pool and tennis court. The Domes of Elounda hotel is a suites-only basis so the tranquillity and privacy are perfect for our nostalgic holiday. From the warm greeting at check in with refreshing herbal drink to being whisked away in a buggy were seamless. It offers your own private pool, plus an adults-only plus a family pool area and the beach club. We were on half-board basis but also ate at the three a la carte restaurants for lunch and dinner ( Blend, Akti and the very chic Makris). They have a VIP club for all day snacks and drinks called Haute Living which was excellent for mid morning coffee or afternoon Earl Grey tea. They have an new area called CORE which is set in natural landscapes and offers small food outlets and shops. The location opposite Spinalonga is stunning and the newer suites on the top of the resort we had duel aspect both mountain and sea. Breakfast was an array of fresh fruits, cheeses, waffles, pancakes, pastries, salads, etc and teas, coffee fresh juices. There are tennis courts, gyms, a spa, a store, business centre, room service bars, etc etc. The beach restaurant Akti served fresh seabass and it was so fresh and tasty served with Cretan Alpha rose wine, perfect. The Makris Elounda was very chic and we had the steak and the seafood pasta dishes, fabulous. You do not have to leave the resort as its all there. A short stroll away is Plaka a cute Cretan village with some small shops and great local restaurants. A longer walks to Elounda is larger and has more to do with the pharmacy and bars/restaurants. Arriving in our Suite #902 and seeing the natural setting behind the property. The sun on the private pool, the outside kitchen area and the large Smart TVs in lounge and the bedroom. It had a nice rainfall separate shower plus a soaking bathtub. There were plenty of coat hangers, safe, Cretan shower gels and shampoos plus fabulous luxury towels, slippers and bathrobes. The maid service was first class and then the turndown service added to the special feelings we had. Special shout out to The General Manager George Kyriois and his full team including George from all the amazing restaurants, Stella & Lena in guest relations, Alex front desk, Pantelis at beach bar, ops manager Demetriuous and his team supporting everything in the resort.
