We used this hotel as our home base as we explored the Pacific Coast Highway. The rooms are clean and quiet. The bed was super comfortable. It's only a short drive through the canyon down to Malibu and the Pacific Coast Highway. Parking is free and the rates are reasonable. It was close to the El Matador Beach, and we drove the PCH up to Santa Barbara and explored and came back to spend the night. Then the next day we went in the other direction down to Santa Monica. I would certainly stay here again if I was in the area and would recommend it to anyone staying in the area.

This hotel is not the most modern, maybe due for an renovation. But it's well cleaned, quiet, with easy parking. Fast check-in and check-out. Great hot shower temperature. The only drawback is the price, still on the high end. But most hotels of similar category also has high price. That's the norm in the L.A. metro area.
