Friends Guest House and Hostel

My experience at this hotel was amazing, really the service was so good and the personnel took care of us... Regathe food and room everything was so good. Friends Guest House is conveniently located less than 2km from the Taj Mahal which can be seen from the rooftop. The hosts are incredibly welcoming and accommodating. My room was spacious and comfortable. There are two lounge areas; one with AC and another with sliding doors to a balcony that overlooks the street, bustling with scooters and produce vendors. A cafe on the third floor makes meal times easy. Overall, it is a great place to stay in Agra!

We stayed here with a group of students (20 in total) and had a great experience. The owner was always available, incredibly helpful and made us feel very welcome from the start. The service was superb throughout our stay, and the rooms were exactly as expected, clean and comfortable. A special mention to the chef, who prepared safe and tasty food for us, which was greatly appreciated. The location was also very convenient, within walking distance to Taj Mahal. A solid choice for group stays.

Yusuf and the whole family were so welcoming and helpful, please come and stay here to meet them! I arrived late at night, all dishevelled from my journey and Yusuf helped me with organising a tour for the next day, my transport for the next day and even ordered some takeaway food for me! I then went on a full day tour with Yusuf the next day and learnt so much, and then even got dropped off at the bus stop. Would highly recommend for an enjoyable stay! Bed was comfy too!

Good and friendly people who are running the guesthouse. They help you if you ask them. Very quiet in the rooms. They are not so big but there is space enough. Toilet in the room, shower next the room. The location is near by the Mall and very near by the Taj Mahal. Just 10 min. walk. The Mall is a walk at your left side, Taj on your right sight.

Definitely a cheap budget option that is walking distance from the Taj Mahal, but does not honestly deserve a 4 star rating. Cleanliness was the major issue, with dirty bedding and a bathroom that had not been cleaned for a very long time. Dirty bathrooms are pretty common in India, but this was bad, shelf had old soap left from previous guests and dirty old toothpaste marks. There is also no hot water in the attached bathroom, which should really be advertised. Owner is nice enough, but his younger brother who also works there is pretty rude and very grabby and demanding with money, One plus is tha the restaurant and chillout area are decent.

The hostel is located in the heart of the city. It's close to the Taj Mahal and other sightseeing places. The owner, Yusuf (Joseph) and his brother are very friendly. Yusuf also has a travel agency which will take you explore India safely and with ease. There's also a local restaurant here owned by their family. Everything was delicious and could be modified (e.g. less spicy or not spicy at all) according to you taste.

A brilliant hostel to stay in - the owner & his family couldn’t be friendlier and more helpful with recommending places to go too, arranging tuk tuks, and taking us on tours. He arranged the Taj Mahal tour for us as he is a government official tour guide and it was incredible. Very informative and friendly. Rooms are clean, common areas are fun, the kitchen in the hostel makes great food, all in all a very good experience and would 100% stay here again. Thank you!!
