Mediterranean Resorts

The worst customer service ever! Ended up waiting in front of the door for late check in and nobody came. I tried calling provided number many times and nobody ever picked up, same was with the ring bell. They just didn't want to show and to check us in. So I ended up staying in a different place, the more welcoming one. Don't go to Mediterranean resort!!

This small, well-designed property surprised us in all the right ways. From the outside it looks a bit older and it's on a steep slope, but once you're settled in we found it absolutely perfect in every way. The apartment was very well laid out for a family of five. It just worked. The views are SPECTACULAR. Absolutely incredible. It's a short walk into town (the hill is very steep but if you take it slowly it's fine). There was easy parking on-site (though you have to lug your bags up a couple of flights of stairs). The two pools were deep, clean and shared the same views. We loved this place for our four nights here.

Our One Bedroom Apartment was booked through a tour with Reef & Beyond via Trip-A-Deal, for just under a week. It seemed like that the Resort, (although, wouldn’t call it a Resort,) supplied what was booked and paid for by Reef & Beyond - a one bedroom apartment - by separating a larger apartment down the middle. It was odd that there were 3 locked internal doors off the hallway. The bed in the bedroom was a small double, only, and rather uncomfortable, certainly not of Resort style! The whole apartment was very dated, and the small rise between the bedroom and the ensuite and the hallway and the laundry was a trip hazard! The view from the balcony, which is not very large, was the excellent thing about the apartment, and apparently people would die to have this room. This couple felt they were going to die or, at least, about to have a heart attack! There aren’t any lifts at this place, so, as our apartment was one of the higher ones, heavy luggage had to be dragged up the very steep driveway from the street, where the airport shuttle had to drop off their passengers. From the driveway, a set of 2 to 3 flights of narrow steps had to be conquered, again, with heavy luggage, before we got to the entry door to the apartment. Although, we didn’t use the pools during our stay, we did note that one was closed for maintenance. The free Wi-Fi was not up to standard which meant our mobile phones had to be used for a decent service. Although, the problem with the Wi-Fi was being attended to, it never really improved during our stay! If you have any type of mobility problems, find other accommodation. The resort is built on a hill up very, very steep hills, above the main road of Airlie Beach. These hills would take the breath away of even the very fittest of people! Also, being so high, the noise from down the hill, in Airlie, travels up to the rooms on still nights! The caretaker Caz was very friendly and very helpful. She often gave us good advice about some of the best places eat, things to see and ways of getting transportation up the hill, when you don’t have your own vehicle! Wouldn't look to staying here again, as there's other nice places, in which to stay, in Airlie Beach!

Arrived to find they didn't have our booking despite us having written confirmation. Property fully booked. Blamed ***********. As a hotel reservations agent I know it wasn't *********** fault. Waited around for 3 hours for them to get us alternative property but they couldn't. *********** ended up saving the day. Thanks *********** for saving our holiday!

Have just returned from 5 nights at Mediterranean Resorts in unit 3, beautiful unit with everything you need for a relaxing holiday also stunning views from every window and the balcony.Nothing was to much trouble for the manager Caz, she told us about a little cafe on the walk to Cannonvale called The Rainbow Cafe the food was as delicious as Caz said. The only downside is the hill you walk up from town it’s so steep, you could get a taxi from town if you don’t want to walk it. You can also get a visit from the local cockatoo’s whilst enjoying the stunning views on the balcony.If you are looking for somewhere close to town with views you couldn’t go past Mediterranean Resorts.

Booked a room on my way to Airlie beach, found a phone number on website to call for a late check in. Called 3 times within 1 hour and nobody ever answered, left voicemail to ask if they can contact me back regarding my late check in. After 2 hours I've got a call from different number and lady was asking did I call them, not introducing herself or saying where is she calling from! When I asked if that is a Mediterranean resort she didn't confirm at first and then just said that she doesn't have any bookings, then hanged up. I tried to call back immediately to get more info but she didn't answered. Same thing was when I've arrived in front of hotel, nobody came after I rang the bell and called few times. Was waiting about half an hour and then left to find another accommodation. Still can't believe that behavior. Simply terrible! Y'all try to find something else, there is heaps of places to stay in Airlie beach.
