I am still thinking about my stay at Villa Gallici and it's been over a week since I left. This hotel is quirky, cute, and charming. Even before my arrival, they offered to make all my arrangements for pick up at the train station and were lovely when I called them to confirm. They were willing to find restaurants that were open during Sunday and Monday when the town is practically all closed and make my reservations. They also happily welcomed and assisted a makeup artist and photographer I had for a small photoshoot at the hotel. The second I arrived, the hotel staff were welcoming and warm. It was a lovely stay from beginning to end and I am not French (as other reviews state that they prefer French people) Our hotel room was lovely and the Villa is definitely very detail oriented and has a strong theme. If you're into Bridgerton, Regencycore, ornate decor with lots of trinkets -- this is your place. It is adorable and everything is over the top. I thought it was super cute and every tray and plate that they offered us came with roses and little details that made it super dreamy and cozy. They even put a scroll in our room to invite us to tea every evening during our stay. Like I said, absolutely adorable. Breakfast was also laid out on tiny little trays and displayed to follow the theme. The location of the hotel is right outside the city center. It is about a 15 minute walk to everything. I loved the proximately to everything even if it required walking as it is the Chateux and Relais, it should be a little further out for the relaxation part. It was very peaceful and quiet every morning when I opened the windows. It really did feel like I was in my own world the entire time I was there. The room we were in was just a normal room and it was lovely. The room is always tidied when you leave and there's a turndown service as with all 5 star hotels. They lit a candle and rose petals every night though which I really appreciated. The room itself can get a little musty as it is an old villa and the AC was not working while we were there so we were offered a fan. This was not a huge problem for us as it was spring and not summer. In the summer, this could potentially be an issue. The amenities for the hotel, though small were sufficient. I visited the gym every day and it had more than many of the gyms at other hotels in France. We also visited the spa and got massages which were lovely! Camille was our massage therapist and she was amazing! The pool is heated year round and the spa is open for visitors pretty much whenever you decide to come by. Overall Villa Gallici is one of the best hotel experiences I've ever had and the highlight of my trip. I loved everyone that I met during my stay and I am dreaming of the day I get to return!
