It was a Japanese-style room, but it was spotlessly clean. The bay window had a securely installed screen door, preventing insects from getting in. I was able to spend the night listening to the sound of the river flowing. The hot spring water was free-flowing from the source. I also thoroughly enjoyed the open-air bath.

The room was spacious, the front desk staff were friendly, and the bathtub was large – excellent! Parking was convenient and plentiful, and the staff warmly saw us off when we left.

We stayed here with our family to see the autumn leaves. It was reasonably priced considering the season. I guess you get what you pay for. Our main purpose was to see the autumn leaves, so we just needed a place to sleep. The food was pretty good. It was simple and tasty, made with local ingredients, but it was a little disappointing that some dishes were cold. The waitresses were just the right amount of friendly and attentive, which we appreciated. The room was old and the cleaning was rather haphazard. I guess that's just the nature of the area. Very laid-back, I suppose. So it was within acceptable limits. There's a ryokan nearby that became famous because of a certain anime, so I couldn't help but worry that customers might flock there instead (lol).
