Dette hotellet trenger oppgradering på ALLE områder. Dør som ikke kan låses, lamper som ikke virker, brytere som ikke virker, vindus håndtak som ikke virker, muggsopp i dusjen. Restaurant som kun serverer én rett, dagens. Lyspunktet er hyggelig betjening og god frokost.

Fine, but old. I only had one night here but the hotel lacks the standard of a thon hotel - the room was interesting a least large - half the lamps didn't work - even in the bathroom it was only one downlight beaming. However it's quiet and the food is ok. Cheap dinner - one course meny - and breakfast is as expected. However I can recommend the hotel for overnight stay. If you're ok with this standard. It's busy during weekends - due to location in the mountains.

Så fint ut utenifra, god frokost! Doring defekt, Vindu lot seg ikke lukke, Kaldt rom ved adkomst. Strykebrett lot seg ikke stå på bena. Hele hotellet trenger et skikkelig vedlikehold innvendig da potensiale kan være stort. Kommer ikke tilbake dit slik det er i dag.

Wir sind leider nicht begeistert von diesem Hotel. Nach langer Anreise wurde uns gegen 18 Uhr mitgeteilt, dass es kein Abendessen im Hotel geben würde. Wir könnten aber in der Nähe zu einem Asiaten oder Burger Lokal gehen, oder alternativ etwas vom Supermarkt holen. Das Zimmer war geräumig mit Badewanne. Leider war an der Silikonabdichtung schwarzer ekliger Schutz . Der Fernseher funktionierte leider nicht. Die Minibar war leer u ausgeschaltet. Beleuchtung sehr gering. Das Frühstück bot leider keine glutenfreien Backwaren an. Insgesamt enttäuscht.

We stopped off at Ål for a one night stay to break the rail journey from Oslo to Flam. As there aren’t many choices of accommodation in town we decided to stay at the Hotel Thon, a short 10 minute walk from the station. Check in was easy and the room was spacious, a double bed with a bunk bed for the kids. A tv, fridge, phone, coffee machine and fan were available in the room. The best aspect of the room (room 327) was the view out of the front of the hotel. Amazing! Breakfast was extensive, with a lot of choice available. Top tips: A large convenience store (Spar) is a 10 minute walk away. Top Camp Hallingdale is a 25 minute walk down the river (nice restaurant, play park and mini child’s golf course are available in the off season). The adventure bike rental by the station seems to close in the off season. Yes we would stay here again.
