Quality Inn Alachua - Gainesville Area

Please see my pics, the front curtains don't fully close unless you tape them shut so the construction workers partying outside our room could look right in. The alarm clock at random times will throw out static noises, even with the alarm and radio turned off. Refrigerator gets a little cold, not cold enough to keep drinks cold, and the freezer couldn't freeze 2 ice packs overnight. This was on the coldest setting. Bathroom needs repair, again, see pics. I think they may be going through renovations, because there were a lot of construction workers hanging around late at night partying close to our room (it was a Thursday night). They took some of the furniture from the pool and made a smoking area away from the rooms. Oh, the pool furniture, there were 2 chaise lounges in the pool area, both of them were ripped so badly you couldn't sit on them. Our ice machine didn't work, had to go to the farthest one from our room. On the plus side, staff was friendly, bed was comfy, breakfast was good, they had 2 of those typical hotel waffle makers, but no eggs or breakfast meats. White bread only, no bagels, pastries or English muffins. Also, coffee, cold cereal (captain crunch berries and corn flakes), yogurt, fresh fruit, a juice dispenser and white bread as I mentioned above. Overall thought, it's a 2-3 star hotel that is ok for a one, maybe 2 night stay. If I was vacationing, I'd look elsewhere.

The room was nice and the front desk was very helpful. They had to change our room for us 3 times because none of the keys were working. The breakfast was only waffles and yogurt. I wasnt expecting a lot but I was expecting more than two items available for Breakfast

Friendly staff, comfortable

The room was not clean enough. We booked nonsmoking room, but it smelt as smoked. The breakfast consist of only waffles and cereals

Bathroom wasn’t clean and the ceiling looked awful. The rest was clean. The people down the hall were outside and so loud all night. Front desk guy was really nice and helpful.

Worse hotel ever..Bed was most uncomfortable and swallowed body like a taco..Hair strains all over bathroom and bed.

Desk Person was extremely helpful.

Older property but rooms are clean

The mattress was a bit worn, could have been more comfortable. The water pressure is great but the shower head was like getting hit with a fire hose. A shower head with a wider spray would work much better. The shower needs corner shelves for shampoo & conditioner. And I was disappointed the breakfast & coffee were no longer available after 9 AM on Sunday.
