Short stay for a music concert in Kalamazoo. Hotel was good. Better than when we have stayed there in the past.

Friendly service, but no frills. Conveniently located across the street from a Walgreens and walking distance from plenty of restaurants. Short walk from Downtown Kalamazoo. The free breakfast is terrible, though, even for a free breakfast: limited options, fake eggs, and they ran out of bagels and coffee the second morning we were there :-( Still gave it a 4 star rating, because I was grateful for clean beds, clean room, and everything was working.

It was a nice hotel but there was a couple next door to us who was extremely obnoxious and fighting till 2 in the morning and we called downstairs and nothing was done.

We gave it a 3 overall just because the beds were comfortable and our room was clean. However, there some maintenance issues. The sink in the fitness center was filled with gross colored water and would not drain. We had to fiddle with the chain to the flapper in our toilet tank to get it to flush properly. The cover to the bathtub overflow was hanging loose. I finger tightened the screw holding it in place.
The breakfast was not very good. The powered eggs at were unedible and the decaf coffee was like water.
The young lady checking us in was very friendly and helpful when we called about their location.
The property is close to campus and has potential to be a great place to stay. But due to the lack of maintenance, I would chose another place to stay in the future.

Tile in bathroom is cracked and needs grouting as tiles slid. Linenes were worn and a comforter had coffee stains over it. Should uave been cleaned a bit better.
