Very nice castle experience and you will get the chance to go to the top to see a spectacular view. The dinner and breakfast is super delicious and worth of money. Staff are friendly and professional!

The Parador in Alarcon is a stand out location, with over 800 years of history, breathtaking scenery, great food and a group of staff that are simply unbelievable. Whilst Alarcon takes some effort to get to, the effort is well worth it.

¡Puro Paradores! El más pequeño de los paradores alberga, como el más pequeño de los tarros de perfume, una joya imprescindible para los que disfrutamos de la experiencia Paradores. Un castillo de ensueño con las comodidades del S.XXI. Dormimos en lo más alto de la más alta torre, un quinto piso … con ascensor. Si te preguntas por las vistas desde esa habitación, olvídalo. Los castillos no se diseñaban pensando en las vistas. Dos troneras pequeñas desde las cuales, agachado, veías lo justo. Para disfrutar de las vistas debes pasear por las almenas y ahí sí, la vista se pierde en el horizonte. Al enemigo se le veía venir… El comedor, la cafetería, el patio-terraza, la habitación con paredes de piedra vista… aquí no hay que cerrar los ojos para que viaje la imaginación, todo te lleva a otra época. Para mi uno de los paradores más especiales de la red.

This is bucket-list place to visit, a real castle maintained impeccably respecting its architecture. The view from the road as you approach it and the views from the castle are amazing. Room was nicely appointed and very comfortable (#103) but be careful selecting rooms because not all of those in the castle's tower have standard window - remember, this is a real castle built in the 1100s!
