This is a very nice hotel with a great location. It is a very short walk to the downtown pedestrian mall--we ended up eating dinner there most nights. The hotel is clean, and the rooms are nice. The breakfast is pretty top end for a self-service breakfast, with some variety on different days. Parking was convenient ($15 per day). Our only issue was with housekeeping. When we checked in, they told us it was every other day, and we specifically discussed that for our four night stay, that after two days (Saturday in this case) our room would be serviced. We left our towels on the floor as we left for the day on Saturday--only to return at the end of the day to an uncleaned room and towels still on the floor. When we inquired, they told us we had declined housekeeping--patently untrue. So we got new towels and moved on. In sum--this was a very nice place, but for the $300/night (including tax and parking), the great efforts to avoid providing any housekeeping services was disappointing. However, if you don't care about that, it was otherwise an excellent stay, still worthy of the five stars.

After being in a small room in Washington DC for five nights, our spacious suite At the residence, Inn in Charlottesville was welcome relief. The staff was super friendly. The complementary breakfast offered so much variety and healthy choices too and everything was immaculate. We would definitely stay here again.

Great location to restaurants, shops and sights. Spacious room with a full fridge in the kitchen part. Also dish washing supplies if needed. Breakfast was included which you don’t often get in hotels these days. Friendly staff. Very clean.

Just stayed and it was very good. Room was spacious, clean and quiet. Breakfast was plentiful and comfortable. Location is good, too. Parking fee is annoying so we parked on the street in front for free. Would stay here again. Only demerit is the sofa bed is not comfortable and could be improved.

Lamp shade was torn, not replaced while we were there, sheet was soiled and very thin, staff was OK
