They charged me twice the amount of the room, I had the stay prepared through trip and they charged me again claiming that it wasn't. I have subsequently had both charges and continue to complain without success.
The hotel is far away and you always depend on the taxi.
Breakfast was not what was expected. The hotel was crowded and there was no option to sit on the terrace, it was hot inside and although they sell the juice as natural, it is from a bottle.
Correct service but very slow.
The pool is in shade all afternoon and finding an available housekeeper is an adventure.
Frankly there are better options in Lisbon and probably cheaper since I am still demanding a refund for the duplicate payment.
The after-sales service is disastrous, they do not answer emails and I continue trying by all means to recover my money.

Housekeeping was pretty much didn’t exist, plus the fact that with our without “do not disturb” they would knock ALL the time starting 10h after we arrived.
Breakfast it’s just not up to scratch..

We stayed at the Pestana Palace. Awesome Hotel, great and friendly staff. Breakfast was phenomenal. Definitely a five star hotel.

We stayed 3 nights as part of a business conference. The staff were exemplary. Very attentive fixed issues immediately and treated us like they were glad we were there. The breakfast was great as was dinner in the bar. The food for catered events was just ok. The converted horse barn across the street was amazing with river and bridge views. The common rooms in the original building were great, very ornate and we enjoyed them. The only downside is the pool is small with very few chairs. There are others hidden up the hill. The rooms were decent and tried to match the style of the main building but missed the mark. The bed was just ok. One table had usb charging, the other did not. Location is a little removed from the center of town (about a 20 minute car ride).

This hotel is stunningly beautiful and filled with fabulous stained glass windows and a very professional staff. We didn’t realize that it catered to conventions so it wasn’t as intimate as we would have liked and it needs some remodeling in the wings where the rooms are. The breakfasts are delicious but the buffet is too crowded for the number of guests. Very disappointed that there were no good ports on the bar menu. It is located right under the airport flight path and was very noisy.

Stanze molto vecchie, bagno assolutamente inaccettabile per un 5 stelle, molto vecchio e per nulla confortevole. Servizio molto buono, pulizia buona, parco molto bello e zone comuni nella villa storica molto bella. Zona SPA non da 5 stelle. Ristorante interno ok ma eccessivamente caro per il servizio. Rapporto qualità prezzo inadeguato

Very nice establishment. Good breakfast. The bathroom in our room was not up to 5-star standard: the button did not work. We reported this to reception who took note of it but without any further reaction. It’s pitiful considering the price of the night.

Husband and I stayed at Pestana Palace hotel on a weekend trip to Lisbon in March. We had a fantastic time, our room was large and comfortable and the property and gardens are lovely. Staff were polite and very friendly. Breakfast was very good, as was room service and the on-site restaurant (great gourmet experience for dinner!). The hotel is located in a quiet area that was perfect for us, as we needed some rest after a couple of busy/difficult months. Moving around was no problem as the area has good public transport links (bus). We would definitely stay at Pestana Palace again, just probably not during peak time, when the hotel is busiest. The walls do seem to be a bit thin - our neighbours next door arrived at 2.30am and woke us up, then they decided to keep the TV on all night (maybe a bad case of jet lag!) and we could clearly hear it, which made it difficult to go back to sleep. Better soundproofing would be the only improvement we'd suggest.
