Travelodge Stratford Alcester

Pleasant visit, sweet ladies and clean room.

Stayed here a couple of times, 1 time no power and I just left the staff didn't care. The sticking point is when my family had emergency medical issue and I tried cancelling 2 weeks before and they said no or the proof we sent was not god enough even though other hotels said its fine and refunded. So won't be returning

First of all I just want to say that the staff at this hotel were really nice, kind and helpful; and while the room was basic, it was very comfortable and I had a good night's sleep. However, on the Travelodge website, it says that this hotel is accessible and it is not. There is one way into the hotel from the car park, and there is no dropped curb on this path. I chose this hotel as I use a mobility scooter and have physical needs. The non-dropped curb was too high for my scooter wheels to get up, and as a result I had to go through the difficult process of stepping up from scooter, bumping it up the step and then very carefully stepping up myself and sitting down. This was very distressing, especially in the dark, and would like to see this edge dropped for people in wheelchairs and scooters. The disabled spaces available in the car park were also taken by vehicles that were not displaying blue badges in accordance with the rules of the car park, which made parking very difficult for me.

Weekend away in great price for the night. It was more better then what I expected for 29.99 for two adults. Great staff on reception. Looks tired but well kept and very clean. Reception looked professional and happy. Free parking and extra coffee / milk available on reception to met everyone needs. We met Ksia and Monica on the day- both very nice.

Last minute booking for 2 nights Friendly lady receptionist, explained everything with the key and fob. Comfortable room. Good sleep. Nothing bad but had a problem with room kettle not working the lady receptionist replaced with a new one immediately. Very apologetic . It is in a building site and next to 24 hr Mc Donald but plenty of parking space the building work caused no problems and McDonald’s very handy !!! Def stay there again.

On arrival nobody was at reception had to call a number for someone to come and check us in. There was a really bad smell in the corridor leading to our room but room was ok although quite old needing renovation. Next day reported the smell to the receptionist was told the problem was due to some water leak and was being sorted went to the room again in the evening and smell was still there.
