Wedding event. Rude staff and unsatisfactory facilities! As best man to the wedding party (which spent thousands on their event), I hired a room so myself and the groom could get changed prior to the ceremony. I was told it would be available from 1pm, perfect as the ceremony was at 2pm. We arrived only to be told the room was not ready and would be available at 3pm, after the ceremony!! When I asked if there was somewhere we could change, I was rudely told “no”!! When I queried this, I was told we could change in the golfers changing rooms! Thankfully one of the wedding guests was in reception and allowed us to use her room. You can only imagine the stress and anxiety this caused the groom. To add insult to injury, when I wrote to complain, this has not even been acknowledged.

We are 4 experienced travelling golfers and have just spent a couple of splendid days at Sandford Springs. We are regular visitors here, but would say that this was our best visit yet. The staff were superb and extremely attentive. Our dinners were cooked beautifully, and we are highly experienced diners! Thank you and well done to the team there. Oh the golf courses were in extraordinarily good condition, considering the horrendous weather this winter.

We have just stayed for 2 nights to attend a family wedding. The large room was clean and comfortable with all the usual amenities. Good sized bathroom with large shower - Ladies you will be pleased to know that it is position alterable (Hairdos!!) - and nice toiletries provided. We ate in the bar on the Friday evening. Reasonable food but pricey for what it was in our opinion. Haddock, chips and peas plus chicken pie, mashed potatoes and a few veg, bottle of Rose wine (not much choice there either) pint of beer with meal and another after dinner - £73!! But then again - it's a golf clubhouse so what would you expect? Plenty of selection at breakfast, usual continental options, yogurt, fruit salad, dried fruits plus full English available from the buffet, they will also cook eggs to your requirement. Copious amounts of tea, coffee, orange, apple juice etc. Having said all that, the wedding was terrific. Nice venue for the ceremony, lovely large area for the meal as well as another large area to sit and have drinks in the evening if you didn't want to join the disco divas!! The meal itself, pate, roast beef (very tender and lots of it) and a chocolate desert was delicious and seriously filling. Plenty of pleasant, efficient staff for service. This whole team really knows how to do a wedding. Thank you very much guys and girls.

Fantastic venue great service ! George in particular was very helpful on the front desk he was very polite and very friendly! The breakfast was incredible and the room service was quick and tasty ! Will definitely attend again for future events 10/10

All of the four thoroughly enjoyed their stay. Rooms clean, spacious with a good shower and toiletries. The food was just right, hot and prompt. The greens are kept well and a pleasure to play. There will definitely be return visits.

A bit weird, I posted a review back in November after attending a wedding and it has since been removed. So I'm reposting with my recollections summarized. ✔️ Wedding was great, well organized and we enjoyed it. ❌ A struggle to find any staff that spoke English. ❌ I asked for a tea and was told "no"! So I insisted to be told it was a real hassle to get one from elsewhere. I'm so sorry for the inconvenience. ❌ Someone puked on my brothers car. Nice! ❌ The hotel room was too hot and I couldn't turn it down. There wasn't anyone to help when I phoned. ❌ Breakfast was horrible. How difficult can you make a fry up? Particularly the sausages, and the bread was stale. ❌ I'm not really a golfer but we did play a game. Very slow but the worse bit was the stench of sewage, it was gagging. Obvious, this wasn't a great experience in my opinion but the social media team need to rethink their strategy. Taking down posts is not a great way to address complaints.

Golf Course is truly lovely and you can have a really good day out in the sun. Course appears to be well maintained and offers some good challenges. The restaurant in the clubhouse was the real let down for this place. The food was quite poor, I ended up leaving most of the beef pasta dish as it didn't taste particularly great and the beef that was in there was quite tough. There was a good range of food at breakfast in the hotel. Was a little disappointed to find that the hotel room didn't have a bathtub. It was also not made entirely clear that the room would not be cleaned each day unless this was requested. Overall would recommend just doing golf but not so much staying at the resort.
