I stayed with my Sister for 2 nights, as we had a Wedding to attend in the area. Andy and Sue were very friendly and helpful and so were their Team. Good and varied Menu. Very well situated for site seeing in the West Sussex area. Would definitely stay again and explore some more. Kind Regards Joy Grover

We have become regulars for morning coffee. The staff are very welcoming – top marks - and the building/ surroundings full of character. Subtle background music and even “no music” options in selected areas for meetings and relaxing. Can't wait 'till summer when we can chill with a bottle of Bolly in the gardens!!

This hotel was an absolute beauty, it's full of charm and character. We stayed in the room with 4 poster bed and bath. The room was a delight, clean, big and just a joy to stay in.

My wife and I stayed with you Saturday night (1 night), we thoughally enjoyed our night away. Interesting decor and history. The room was very comfortable and staff pleasant. We ate in the restaurant and enjoyed the evening, although there was plenty of fat on the steak almost 40% fat, not soo appealing given the cost of our meal overall ! Our review is predominantly possative and enjoyed the night away, what an idyllic location. Kind regards Warren Stembridge

Ah, the Roundabout hotel, a place where chaos reigns supreme and the guests are left questioning their decision to stay. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a server who seemed to have no knowledge of the menu or the concept of basic customer service. When we inquired about the roast beef, she simply shrugged her shoulders and mumbled something about it being "tougher than a retired drill sergeant." (Well maybe she was thinking that, as it turned out it was tough). The roast beef was changed without argument for the chicken... oh but we have no more chicken so it will have to be the gammon.... And don't even get me started on the chef. Instead of being in the kitchen, creating delicious meals for the guests, we found him sitting in an office chair at reception, watching footbal loudly and ignoring the chaos that was unfolding in the dining room. Needless to say, the lack of attention to detail was apparent in every aspect of our dining experience. But it's not all doom and gloom at the Roundabout hotel. The decor may be outdated and the service may be subpar, but the entertainment value is truly unmatched. From the wacky interactions between the staff to the never-ending mishaps that occur on a daily basis, you can't help but laugh at the absurdity of it all. So if you're in the mood for a good laugh and don't mind sacrificing a bit of quality in exchange for entertainment, then the Roundabout hotel is the place for you. Just make sure to bring your own dinner rolls, because the roast beef is definitely a no-go.

I am writing this review because I was shocked by some of the negative comments in the (minority) of poor reviews. We stayed at the Roundabout on a Sunday night in January - arrived 5.30 pm, ate an evening meal, had a good night's sleep, and ate a good breakfast. It was an overnight stop on a two day walking trip, and was exactly what we needed. Very few hotels/pubs/restaurants in the area serve meals on Sunday evenings - the Roundabout suited us well.
