Absolutely appalling service and customer relations. We’ve been here before many times and generally the food has been good. There was an issue with one of our mains, a steak to be precise where it was burnt on the outside and asked to be replaced. A manager took the steak back to the kitchen and returned with it claiming that he was a steak connoisseur and that the issue with the steak was down to the lighting in the restaurant! Another manager then came over who was very arrogant insisting that there was no issue with the steak and after several minutes of arguing, agreed to have it replaced. By this time the meal was ruined for us all due to the attitude of both mangers backing up their chef while the rest of the party were to eat their dinner. On paying the bill there was no offer for a discount given the fact that 4 adult meals had been ruined, only that the steak we complained about was removed. It was at this point the manager who claimed to be the steak connoisseur during previous discussions was asked if he would’ve eaten said steak to which he replied ‘I don’t eat steak’. Again as we’ve experienced on other occasions in the same restaurant, the drinks service is painfully slow and if you want a drink in a timely manner, you’re better to order one when you still have 3/4 left. Such a shame as the restaurant and surroundings are amazing, the menu is great but the staff need retraining in customer service and a new steak chef wouldn’t go amiss. Not a cheap restaurant by any means and I’d have expected better to be honest. A situation that could’ve been easily resolved with more experienced staff.
