The rooms well lighted, with plenty of plugs. The AC and frig were cold. Everything was clean and we had fresh towels every day. No coffee in the rooms but the office provided plenty of hot coffee each morning. They also had hot water and you could use their Keurig machine. Ice was plentiful and free in the office. The rooms were a bit small with two large beds but we had plenty to do outside and the rooms were quiet to sleep in. The staff was friendly and helpful. The facility was well maintained and the flower beds beautiful. I would highly recommend a stay at the Ship Motel.

I have no idea how this place has got the score it has. As you drive up, the first impression is good. Nice flowers and a clean looking place, there it stopped for me. The greeting might as well have been a shrug of the shoulders, it felt like one. The room was small and cluttered with furniture, that made what little space was available, unusable. We were greeted with the normal post Covid sign ‘To protect YOU, there will be no housekeeping’, when is this limp excuse going to stop. There is no tea or coffee in the room, it is downstairs by the office. In our case at the bottom of the very steep and dangerous stairs (especially when carrying a suit case). This was the place everyone congregated to drink coffee, talk and smoke. If you are upstairs in the first 2 or 3 rooms, be prepared to be kept awake or woken by either inconsiderate guests or even worse cleaners (or possibly manager) waiting to do the rooms. They start congregating, smoking, drinking coffee and chatting about 6am. A good point is the position of the motel in the middle of town, but it sorely needs a serious look at customer care or even an acknowledgment there are any guests there at all

This motel is basically a glorified dive. It defies comprehension how it can have a 4 rating. Amd there is absolutely no evidence that it was renovated a few years ago: the sink had a crack and cigarette burns for example. The highlights only list is long, you've been forewarned. But to start it off, we were confirmed a king-sized room for three nights on ***********, but told shortly afterwards by phone we could get a king-sized room, just not the same one for all nights! Since we were hours from arrival and had no other choice, we took what turned out to be not a real queen-sized bed in a tiny room. No apology, no consolation prize. No place to put your things , poor quality TV, paper thin walls-you can hear running water, wafer thin bars of mini soap, threadbare towels. The AC couldn't really eliminate the humidity or the musty smell. Quiet time was not enforced, well after midnight. The only positive feature is that the room was clean, the staff was friendly, and the coffee provided outside the office is surprisingly good (only a fridge in the room). The location is good but not worth it in such a small village. Avoid.

We made a reservation well in advance for this summer. It was cancelled by the motel out of the blue without any warning and no contact. This is terrible customer service and it ruins a planned family trip.

I rarely write a poor review and hesitate to write this one because it was a place for us to stay while visiting the amazing Thousand Islands on what we were to discover was a very over crowded, loud, and a bit unruly Pirates Week. The check in office seemed very concerned about mask wearing in their little cramped space which I get - but there were CROWDS of people on the sidewalk, upper story balcony and the parking lot with corn hole games, tables of food, coolers, etc. There was no concern for the people checking in, carry their luggage to their rooms, returning in the evening for sleeping. If this motel was recently updated they must have skipped the room we stayed in. NO SMOKING signs everywhere but there was the odor of cigarette smoke everywhere - even in the small check in office. The wifi signal was so poor that it was impossible to do anything on a mobile device. One positive comment - The location is good. Sorry Ship Motel but you need to get Ship Shape.

Our stay was Very good. Location was excellent. Never moved my car the entire 4 days during our stay. Walk to the Uncle Sam ferries, restaurants and shops. The room was comfortable and clean. Coffee is available outside of Office. Nothing to complain about. July 2021.
