It was a great stay, even if only for one night. The hotel is set in an old classical building by the sea. The room was spacious with a view and very nice staff. Of course it's not very quiet, facing the wide street by the sea, but we slept very well.

I'd read the reviews so I wasn't expecting too much and was pleasantly surprised. Sure the decor is a bit dated and faded, but my room was clean, large and airy, with a lovely little balcony and partial sea view. It is noisy outside, but this is Egypt and there's nothing they can do about that1 It was a little bit chilly with no heating, but the shower was boiling hot and more than made up for it. The few staff I met were pleasant and I brought cash in EGP to pay, and I was very happy with the exchange rate used as I'd booked in USD - no mark-up at all. The location is excellent, and I really loved the bistro / restaurant right downstairs. I would stay here again and think this is a great choice for travellers on a budget.

The booking was successfully confirmed by ***********, and from my side i had contacted the hotel to confirm my reservation, and as soon as I arrived from a long travel trip that took more than 9 hours, and as soon as I arrived to the hotel, I was notified with apology, as there are no vacant rooms!!! Irresponsible and unprofessional behavior from the management of this hotel, no money was deducted for my reservation, but it was an unjustified waste of time and effort, I do not recommend this hotel
