Hotel accommodation was outstanding as usual from Marstons Inns

We stayed here for 2 nights at the start of our Scotland tour. The staff were excellent, the room exactly what we needed and the breakfast and evening meals lovely too. Lovely outside seating area and plenty of room inside too. The staff were so friendly and helpful. We arrived with a broken down car that had to be recovered to our home in the south east of England, so we needed to book a taxi to go and collect a hire car to drive home at the end of our stay and the staff genuinely felt for our situation. There was an emergency number in case we needed out of hours support overnight and it was very secure entry by our room keycards to the building containing the hotel rooms. I really can't praise this hotel and restaurant enough, I just wish we had Marstons Inns nearer home too, but would definitely stay here again, recommend to others and stay at other hotels in the group. Excellent location within 10 minutes walk of Loch Lomond with Loch Lomond Shores facilities. Very safe area too.

We visited several times during our stay in Loch Lomond for drinks and also had breakfast one morning. Great service, great value and staff who are friendly and really accommodating. Our party included a child under 2 and a newborn, just 7 weeks old and it was no issue at all bringing them in to the pub. It is without doubt a family friendly environment. Breakfast was absolutely value for money and we all cleared our plates. Well cooked, decent quality and good size portions. There was nothing not to like about it! Only downside was they don’t do cocktails and I think they are missing a trick by not offering them. They said, we will definitely visit again next time we are in the area for food and drinks.

The best thing about this restaurant is that they have areas where dogs are allowed. Food is average for the type of restaurant, the buffet didn’t look appealing so I settled for a baked potato with beans and cheese, it was very nicely presented and tasted fine. Our young server was training and a wee bit nervous but nothing to complain about, a nice young man, very polite.
