We stayed at Victorian Rose Garden B & B after playing in a golf outing at the Cary Country Club. The B & B was a short 15-minute drive from the golf course. Sherry has a beautiful home and is the consummate host. The bedrooms were spacious, comfortable, uniquely decorated, and stocked with all of the necessary amenities. The guest refrigerator with soft drinks and water was a welcome plus after a hot day on the golf course! The living and dining areas are decorated in beautiful detail, and we enjoyed sitting out on the lovely back deck, too. On Sunday, Sherry prepared an outstanding full breakfast that included mini-scones, fruit granita, spinach and red onion quiche, and bacon cooked to crisp perfection. She also provided teas, coffee and fresh orange juice (which we, of course, made into mimosas!). Victorian Rose Garden B & B is a very short walk to downtown Algonquin, where we enjoyed great food at Port Edward Restaurant on the Fox River on Saturday night, and delicious 50-cent (not a typo!) Bloody Marys at Cattleman's Burger and Brew on Sunday morning. The price of our stay was extremely reasonable for all of the above. We highly recommend Victorian Rose Garden B & B and will definitely be back! Thank you, Sherry, for a wonderful experience! Kathy, Jim, Janelle & Chuck
