Our stay at this hotel was nothing short of amazing. We accidentally ended up staying here and the staff helped us although it was late in the night and they were not working anymore.The rooms were amazing with comfortable beds and very warm. The bathroom was spacious and very clean. The breakfast as well was various and delicious. We enjoyed our stay very much and recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a pleaser stay.

Hotel room is spacious and the hotel is located near the old town centre. It takes around 10-15 minutes walking from Alkmaar central train station. There is no air-con in the room. It is rather hot when I was there in June. But I dared not open the windows fully as I was afraid of bugs coming into the room while I was sleeping. But overall the hotel is value for money.

This hotel is rated as **** We would rate It ** The room was not clean, we had 104 Junior Suite but a terrible bed. The bath with in-shower that was broken. Old towels, very small. The balcony was dirty. Overall nog a suite at all. Door lock was broken too. Very noisy, you can hear other guests. The breakfast was very poor. Overall a once in a lifetime visit.

Kamer en badkamer zeer stoffig en achtergebleven haren. Vloerbedekking en gordijnen ronduit vies. Sanitair had gebreken. Prijs/kwaliteit zeer slecht.

Grand Hotel Alkmaar was a great stay and we are very happy to leave a 5 star rating. The staff was very friendly and professional, the hotel is very authentic with lots of old dutch architecture features left, a very cosy bar and restaurant and the room was great. Even though we did book the economy room, it did not feel economy at all. Very spacious, very well designed and contemporary, very clean (including the bathroom). Would stay here ant time again and I can recommend it to any visitor looking to book here. For visitors with a car, please be aware this hotel is in the city centre and there is no car parking facility direct with the car.

Zeer net Hotel vriendelijk personeel. Ik was met een mindervalide alles netjes geregeld grotere kamer en alles met scootmobiel te bereiken.

Matig. Hotelkamer wel netjes en schoon. Raam in de kamer wou niet open, erg jammer. Parkeren was 10x niks, 1e zat al vol toen moesten we naar de 2e parkeergarage maar de regel was wel dat, als we weg gingen moesten we per uur de garage zelf betalen maar bleef de auto hele avond en dag staan dan kon je een parkeerkaart kopen van €15 erg balen maar toch voor het laatste gekozen. Anders teveel uren steeds betalen voor parkeren. Ontbijt was zeer matig. Spijt dat we hiervoor hebben betaald. Erg duur met wat je krijgt. Witbrood was er niet alleen bruin. Roerei was zeer uitgedroogd, zat geen smaak meer aan, 1 droog iets. Weinig keuze aan eten. Weinig drinken bij het ontbijt. Heel simpel allemaal maar je betaald wel de volle pond. Lift zaten we in, toen zaten we ineens vast. Alles met alles matig en een dure hotel voor wat je terug krijgt als klant.
