Excellent meal. English menu needs a little work, we sussed out the Duo of Poultry was actually a duo of beef. Chickens do not usually have shoulders. Both the beef and my cod dish were very good. Very careful with allergies. Good choice of wine

We loved it! Such a nice location, friendly staff and goreous food. We went with our 2,5 month old baby which was very exciting, but the staff was so good to us. Gave us a travel cott and made sure everything was ok. You can hear alot though, from the other rooms, outside and downstairs. But then again it is an old historical building!! The food is absolutely fabulous, really fresh and high quality. Not to mention an amazing breakfast! Would definitely go again.

Veel trappen, veel hout, mooie suite met bad met uitzicht op gracht, aparte regendouche en toilet, trapje op naar heerlijk bed en zwevende moderne tv met veel apps. Gevulde minibar en koffie/thee. Gezellige bar/bistro, jonge vriendelijke staf, heerlijk ontbijt geserveerd aan tafel. Zeer dicht bij winkels en eetgelegenheden.

The location was fantastic...easy walking distance to main attraction area. The room was quite small with little room to put our luggage and other items. The WC was in a seperate room from the shower and sink. The shower area was very small and as a result everything in that area got wet.
The staff were helpful and friendly. They stored our bikes inside which we appreciated. We chose not to have breakfast there as we thought it was over priced.

Everything about the room and staff were fine. Great central location. Alkmaar is a very cute Dutch city and worth the visit.

We had a nice stay at the Wolf Hotel. There was a little confusion at check in as we received an email saying we could check in at 2:00 but when we arrived, a fairly flustered server said that check in was at 3:00. She did check on the room and it was ready by 2:00. The other staff were quite helpful, our room (#1) had its own balcony to sit outside, and faced the back of the hotel (avoids the street noise at the front on the canal and over the restaurant). We also ordered the breakfast in the morning, which was great-a little of everything from eggs and bacon, to fruit, juice, coffee and croissants and a pancake.
So for one night, it was a nice stay.

Prettige ontvangst gehad door een aardige kordate dame. Kamer voldoet. Prettig stevig bed. Keuze in kussenhardheid zou fijn zijn. Een deur in de badkamer zou fijn geweest zijn. Of een handdouche. Nu spetter je alles onder en heb je weinig privacy. De waskom is een lachertje. Veel te hoge rand waardoor je niet eens je flesje kan vullen onder de kraan. Zeer vriendelijk ontvangen bij het ontbijt. Gevarieerd eten en zag er goed verzorgd uit. Het was dan ook erg jammer dat we niet in alle rust hebben kunnen genieten van dit ontbijt, omdat op dat moment de zaak uitgebreid werd gestofzuigd. Al met al wel een aanrader. Je zit op een supercentrale locatie met vriendelijke mensen. Je kan het slechter treffen!

Gereserveerd om 19:00, tafel was nog niet beschikbaar, antwoord ga maar zitten bij de openhaard…. Na enkele minuten konden we aan tafel gaan zitten waar we na enkele minuten gevraagd werden ergens anders te gaan zitten. Hoofd gerecht duurde mega lang toen we het personeel hier na vroegen was het antwoordt JA het is druk ( terwijl iedereen die later was ruim 30/45 later als ze hoofd gerecht had ) Personeel is zeer onvriendelijk. De dame die met ons afrekende spande de kroon. Afrader dit!

Lekker gegeten in een aangenaam kader. Ruime keuze aan gerechten en heel vriendelijke bediening. Alle gerechten waren top. Een echte aanrader in een heel gezellige stad. Aangenaam zitten aan het water,zeker bij mooi weer.
