I went for lunch with Friends on Easter Sunday, after booking in advance. The Hotel has an excellent location, beautiful, calm and relaxing. I was very disappointed with the dining room, of the "canteen" type, far from the refinement that a 5-star hotel should have. "Formica" tables, paper tablecloths and napkins, lots of people and a lot of noise. The food was varied and sufficient, with timely replacement, but the atmosphere was identical to the arrival of three passenger buses at the same time! Hot dishes had cold food. As it is self-service, there should have been some microwaves available... The staff, perceived to be amateurs, complied but without refinement. It has nothing to do, in terms of comfort and quality, with the Montebelo de Viseu, from the same group, which already offers a differentiated service suitable for 5 stars. I think they should review either the methods and the service, or the stars...

I really liked it. Two family nights, with all the comfort and quality. In general, everything is very well organized, clean, simple and practical. All friendly staff. Speaking in particular, the superior double room was very spacious, great soundproofing, super comfortable. Nothing to point out. The Spa has a sauna/Turkish room separated by gender. It's not possible to enjoy it as a couple. Otherwise, both swimming pools and the jacuzzi meet the requirements. Dinner went well, although both my dish and my wife's dish lacked something in terms of flavor to be perfect. The outdoor space is beautiful and I imagine it has great potential in the summer. I would like to return.

I was quite disappointed because of the water temperature in the indoor pool and because of the ambient temperature in the pool area it was cold, on the first day I arrived I went to reception and said that the water temperature was very very cold they said that the water temperature was 28 degrees within the legal norm, as I have a brother who is a swimming pool technician, I contacted him and asked, what temperature did an indoor leisure pool have to have, like the hotel has, he told me it had to be above 31 degrees and the children's pool was still at highest temperature, something that wasn't there is that temperature in the water was 28 degrees and for a competition pool and that pool is for leisure. In conversation with more customers, they had all complained and did nothing. When the maintenance technician goes to the pool to measure temperatures, customers ask what the water temperature is? When he says it's 27 degrees in the morning and in the afternoon on another trip we ask again and he says it's 27 degrees the same as in the morning and that it wasn't even 28 degrees... I went with my wife who is pregnant And with my son, I and I can't even go to the pool, just boys for a while. On the last day before leaving, at the reception they asked how it went, I said what had happened, they said again that it was 28 degrees, I said that something was not right and the technician's thermometer showed 27 degrees and the man who was answering was silent. And at the entrance it is posted that the temperature is 33 degrees, which does not correspond to reality. Before booking, I called to ask if the water was hot and they said it was very warm. I was disappointed with this stay.

For the second time we visited Aguieira, this time in its newest hotel. Overall, the experience was pleasant and met expectations, but there was still a large margin for growth. 2 aspects to consider (which I already had the opportunity to share with the staff): - restaurant - huge disappoin**ent, expensive and poor quality. I don't recommend the cod chip dish at all as it was more of a dish of bones with cornbread. On the other hand, the beef tenderloin was a pleasant surprise even though it could still be improved (it was enough to simply let it rest after cooking once it filled the plate with blood). The cover charge is super basic, and the bread is extremely dry (you just had to put it in the oven for 1 minute and they had already fooled the customer with "fresh, freshly baked bread"); - gym - somewhat restrictive opening hours (opens at 9am and for those who are at work and would like to train before going to work, I believe it is completely prohibitive). Furthermore, most machines do not work/work poorly. Apart from that, the location, facilities, breakfast and spa (very pleasant massage experience) should be highlighted. Zé & Raquel

The hotel is constantly undergoing renovations and the service is poor during low season, as was our case. This is the second time we have stayed and perhaps we will look for another option.
