Hotels Near Parroquia de San Pedro Apostol in Almeria

Last weekend we were in Almería and we stayed at the Torreluz apartments because they had a kitchen and my daughter has severe food allergies, which almost no hotel establishment takes into consideration so that she can enjoy a restaurant meal. Upon arrival at the apartment, the only utensils available were glasses, a pan with a lid and a serving spatula, there were no cutlery, plates or a basic kit to wash the pan. When booking on the day, I explained the medical circumstances of the girl and they told me that I did not have to pay for breakfast since I was not going to consume it. When we went down to the hotel for breakfast, I myself brought her bread, cookies, milk, fruit, cold cuts, etc. In order for her to 'participate in the breakfast buffet', we gave her a glass of juice and immediately a lady from the dining room came up to tell us that if the girl consumed we had to pay (she even asked what the circumstances were). Of course, I explained the situation to him, I showed him the tupperware and the fridge with his food and at the exit I offered to pay for his breakfast, but they told me that it was not necessary. I just want to appeal to the sensitivity of the people who serve the public in these very special situations, which are not fashion or whim, and especially when they affect children, who are quite unfortunate because the hospitality industry does not serve them. It had never happened to me before and my daughter is 9 years old. I have always explained to him that his illness cannot be a limitation to travel or enjoy leisure in company. In short, my assessment cannot be positive nor will I recommend this hotel.

Loved my time at this hotel. The location couldn't be more perfect for my needs. I loved swimming in the pool which never got that crowded and sometimes I was the only one so had it to myself. It was interesting watching the ferries in the port across the road from the room balcony. The beach wasn't far to walk maybe 10 minutes along the promenade and I had a great time jumping the waves. The little tourist train stop is nearby which takes you all around town and by the castle. The bridge attraction, park squares, art museum, restaurants and shops are all on the doorstep. The hotel staff are very friendly, helpful and efficient and helped me with some scanning. You can hire a kettle and iron for your stay. The buffet breakfast is nice and has all your usual items, you can have your eggs made to order. They also have snacks and icecreams you can have in the bar all day. I loved my room it was calm and peaceful on the 6th floor. I had the best sleep and didn't wake in the night , better than at home. The beds are comfortable. There is air con in the room so it was nice to come back to for a little siesta. The rooms are big and the beds. There is a big cupboard and a few drawers for your things. The bathroom was nice with a bath, shower and some useful toiletries. The hotel had a nice atmosphere and I am looking forward already to coming back next year !

Cleanliness: The room and the bathroom was spotless and very spacious for the price we pay. Can not fault it at all Location: The hotel is on a corner of roads. It wasn’t easy for us to spot the first time when your driving. You have to park and walk, and then you will see a sign for the hotel. There is no free street parking unless you park after 2030-0730, but during the day you will struggle. The hotel provides parking but for an additional fee. There is also a supermarket next door that serves cheap or reasonable shopping items which we used. Service: The staff were lovely during check in and check out. The hotel had its own restaurant and the staff over there were lovely. Amenities: The hotel has its own private swimming pool on the first floor. It’s not heated so we didn’t use it as the weather wasn’t warm either. The room had towels and toiletries provided including a hair dryer. There was running hot water. Downside: I couldn’t say anything bad for about the hotel. For the price we paid, we experienced only the best. The only issue we had was parking since we didn’t want to pay the additional fee but other than that, I couldn’t complain about the hotel at all

The breakfast is relatively simple. The hotel does not provide airport pick-up service, and it costs about 17 euros by taxi in fifteen minutes. It's very close to the large shopping center. The hotel helps to call a taxi. It's affordable and quite suitable for business trips.

We had appointments in the city so spent the night at this hotel. Staff were friendly and efficient, room spacious and spotless, the bed comfortable and the evening meal good. As is often the case the hot items at breakfast were on the cold side. Very good for anyone who does not want to drive righ down town.

After spending 3 days in the local Government hospital my wife & I stayed here for 2 weeks before we were repatriated back to the UK. Excellent hotel in a lovely area with amazing staff who were very attentive professional & extremely helpful - the manager was very supportive. The hotel is situated just outside the city centre but only a short walk away. Very near the hospital & a large shopping mall. The food was very good especially the breakfasts with a variety of choices on offer. Very near to a host of good restaurants/tapas bars which serve excellent & great value for money food. I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a city break at a most reasonable price.

There are only praises to say as opinions about this hotel, which is on the edge of the motorway.Rooms are new,the bed is enormously good as at home,certainly the decor is inexistent,the staff are laughing, The breakfast is in the average for the hotel category.Our GPS ,WAZE,GOOGLE ITINERAIRE did not indicate the way to follow then for future customers the hotel is at the exit 800 from the motorway in one direction or in the other.It is a good hotel To stay two or three nights. Stayed here for 2 nights (should have been 4 but after the first night decided to return home early yesterday). Food was very disappointed in the both the buffet restaurant and the pool bar/tapas bar. A lot of the food in the buffet restaurant was cold, both in the evening and at breakfast. Very little choice for children. Very expensive (190 euros for 3 adults and 1 child). We ate in the Tapas bar in the second evening. Service okay and we got by with our limited Spanish! We were still waiting for our son’s food after we had finished eating. When it finally arrived ,he ordered a rack of ribs which consisted of 4 ribs and some chips. Not a vegetable or salad in sight (although think I was more bothered by that than him!) Live entertainment outside both evenings but for those with young children, it goes on until 11.30 so may not be ideal. It is in a very Spanish area with very little to do or visit outside of the hotel. Some cafes which are very well served by the Spanish locals. Beach location is great and you can walk along the beachfront for quite a way. Rooms are lovely and spacious although air conditioning didn’t work in the children’s room. My daughter left her shorts around the pool area although when we asked on departure they hadn’t been handed in. However, whilst we were waiting to depart at the airport we had a phone call from the hotel to say they had found them and would bring them to the airport. We were grateful to them for this.

We stayed for 3 nights and played golf twice. The hotel looks quite grand when you arrive,and we had no trouble parking, although it’s low season. In high season I expect you would have difficulty finding a parking space outside, in which case you would have to pay to park in the hotel underground facility. Our room had a lovely view with a small balcony over the swimming pool. It was fully functional and clean, but pretty tired. The air conditioning seemed to have been set to winter mode, so the room was 25C. Maybe okay for Spanish guests, but far too hot for us. The chamber maids, maintenance man, then hotel Director all tried to rectify the problem, which was subsequently rectified the following day. We were offered a move to an apartment, but didn’t fancy that. The beds in the room were also too hard for us, and the maids put on toppers the second night which made them a bit softer. Breakfast was pleasant, standard fare. We didn’t have dinner, but ate in the bar, which again was fine. We sat out on the terrace one lunchtime in the sunshine, and I suspect the pool area is lovely in high season. One lunchtime, the hotel recommended a restaurant in Aguadulce, restaurant Mistela Gastronomia, which was excellent. Very easy and cheap to get a taxi there and back. We played golf twice. Both days were at the weekend, but the course was very quiet, and we were not paired with anyone else. Very unusual even in low season. The area, and course is very hilly, so I would recommend a buggy (unless you’re super fit). It’s a woodland course, which I found quite interesting and challenging. Any water features are dry at the moment. ‘Rustic’ is the description I would use to describe the course. The pro shop were very friendly and surprisingly well stocked with a variety of clubs. It’s difficult to see how the hotel has achieved 5 star status, but the place grew on us, as all of the staff were so friendly. Despite having to complain, everyone we came into contact with tried their best to help, and seemed to want us to have a nice time. Not sure we would return, but we had a pleasant couple of days.
