I love Viejas but this review is about one of your current bingo employees. As a frequent visitor to Viejas ******, I have had the displeasure of encountering Nicole, an employee who seems to rotate through various depar**ents over the years despite consistently providing subpar guest service. Nicole's lack of professionalism was evident in every depar**ent she worked in, from the gaming floor, hotel lobby, and now your bingo depar**ent. As I left bingo recently after yet another bad experience with her I can't help but question why Viejas continues to retain Nicole as an employee? You guys need to do better and it's time for management to reassess their hiring and retention practices!

We stayed two nights in the hotel. The rooms are very nice and clean with wonderful, large bathrooms. The room has a coffee maker and refrigerator also. The ****** is fun and has a great variety of machines to play. All staff members were very professional and friendly.

The ****** has a lot of newer slots but they feel very packed together. I'm used to non smoking Barona so Viegas was a let down. At least they have REAL ************* and not FAKE bingo machines as they do in the other ******. I'm not even sure how they legally call the ones in Bingo/Slot parlor actual *************? A bit illegal. Either way we only stayed an hour as it was Smokey and large bets paid nothing on bonuses. But the shuttle driver, Sherry, was a true delight! Won't be back.

Pros: Room was luxuriously perfect with quality linens, fridge, coffee, immaculate, modern, nice toiletries, robes on request; great live music/dancing; lovely pool area. These are the reason for 4 stars, b/c these features did outweigh the cons below. Cons: When there's a concert, poolside service shuts down so it's self-serve. The pool bar entrance becomes off-limits b/c it's just inside the concert venue gate and there's a major fuss about no one entering that gate prior to concert, requiring a long circuitous trip thru the ****** and back, juggling drinks. They appear to be severely understaffed. They told us our room would be ready by 4:00 and they'd call us. At 4:30 we went to the desk to check; room had been ready for a while, but they "didn't have a chance" to call us. Lines and waits for everything. Waited 15 min. in line to eat at Baron's to be told that there'd be an hour wait unless we wanted to eat in the bar; could've gone straight there and saved 15 minutes. Overworked server finally took our order after about 20 minutes. I don't know how long we waited until finally we left and just went to the Grab and Go market. Concert venue seats are sardine-city, small folding chairs packed tight together; pity if you're next to someone hefty. They'd definitely be overflowing onto your seat! Anything to make extra bucks I guess . . . but not cool.

My boyfriend (Marine Vet) and I been going to Viejas for 3 years now, and it's always been an excellent experience, except for my recent visit. We both own old creaky Jeeps (mine is a classic) and we have always had them parked with the Valet since we usually stay one or two nights at the Hotel. First time in three years, the Valet refused to park our vehicle stating that it was an "Open vehicle". Yes, it's a Jeep, it's always been open, and we have never had any issues until this past weekend so apparently they made up some ridiculous new rule, which forced us to find parking on the roof of the Hotels parking structure which is really ridiculous, considering what we paying Guests at the Hotel itself. I can understand if we weren't guests, but the parking attendant and the Manager treated us like 2nd class citizens, so not a fan of this new, ******* rule. Our Jeeps have been broken into many times, and never at Viejas so not sure why this is now a new "thing" but it is California, so idiocy usually prevails before common sense. Otherwise, it was an uninventable trip, however now we will have to be driven to the ****** or rent a vehicle that the Parking Attendants find "suitable" to park in the Valet section.
