I expect a certain level from a Hampton and was kind of disappointed with this one. Good things first: it was quiet, clean, and had a decent breakfast. Good amount of parking. Convenient to Big Bend National Park. Not so great: front desk staff wasn’t friendly; beds were not very comfortable (no cushy Hampton comforter); no cookies one night; TV was messed up; shower made weird creaky noises; fitness center was weak; very loud A/C unit. No restaurant onsite and not within a safe walking distance of any place to get a meal.

Somewhat older and overpriced property, but that describes everything in Alpine :) That being said, I still consider this above-average for a Hampton Inn, and the place is overall very good. The bed was really comfortable, the housekeeping second to none, and the breakfast tasty.
