The photos distort reality and certainly dated. Old and dirty hotel. Squeaky beds, every movement during the night causes disturbance. Old room furniture. Indecent bathroom: plastic tablecloth holder, for a few euros, broken in half and repaired with scotch tape. Even the marble of the sink was broken in half. Worn tablecloths. Poor bathroom cleaning. Non-existent courtesy set: only one small bar of soap for two people. Hot tub above the bathroom door, old and rusty. I had to complain to have the fridge provided among the comforts. Great value for money, staff is very sweet and helpful. Mountain View is gorgeous.
Walls are thin though, and you could hear the noise from people next door but experience is amazing

The Hotel was clean but a little dated, and tired. Views from the hotel are amazing. The bed was very comfortable, but new pillows needed. The staff very friendly, and attentive. Breakfast quite adequate, a choice of cereals, and breads, ham and cheese, only hot food was scrambled eggs, and sausages. The coffee was very nice. personally l thought there was enough. The food in the restaurant very good and very reasonably priced. Service good.

The property is a good base from which to explore the area if you have a car. Breakfast is plentiful with a wide variety. Beds are somewhat comfy. Access to fridge is available if you ask. Parking is free. Fairly quite at night but rooster’s will get you up in the morning ready for the next day!

We stayed here for two nights as we were attending a wedding at the Monte Do Serrhino Country House, about a 10 minute drive away. The hotel is perfectly placed for that venue and is just a 5 minute drive away from the cosmopolitan little town of Alte. We had a nice afternoon in Alte, there are plenty of little bars and it’s quite a bohemian atmosphere. The hotel has plenty of parking, and a pool which we didn’t have time to use during our stay. Our room had a nice terrace overlooking a pretty garden area. Furniture is a bit dated and it would have been nice to have tea and coffee-making facilities in the room, especially after a long drive to get there. The bar and restaurant is traditionally furnished, with good views. We are there on the first night and the service and food was nice. Breakfast is self-service and the choice is a little limited but it was ok.
