It was an all-round successful holiday with you in Ebensee: comfortable holiday apar**ent, delicious breakfast, answers to any questions at any time. The region offers many activities, excursion destinations and entertainment for children.

Rooms are nice and clean. The food is very simple and not particularly good for half board. Pumpkin seed oil on dessert was rancid. Food not seasoned. Soups were watered down with a lot of water. Waiting for the food could sometimes take an hour. One waiter tried very hard but couldn't manage it alone. Understandable.

Everything was just fine during our 5 days holiday. We could choose between two upgraded rooms. Nearby church bells hardly audible in the morning when windows were closed. We got a pack of useful information material when checking in. Breakfast and half board excellent. Fast Wi-fi in the room. Friendly staff in the restaurant. Sauna working. Enough parking space.

I can only rate the food because we didn't stay overnight here. The inn is very nice and traditional. The service was nice, but sometimes a little awkward (perhaps because of the language). They had game specialties on offer, so we ordered them. The portions were large and the food was generally good. My pumpkin side dish could have been cooked more and the meat in the venison ragout was on the dry side. The price was reasonable.

The room was great and storage + charging for our bicycles was very convenient. As noted above the reception lady Gerda Leitner was Outstanding!! She was my Austrian Angel on getting care for my injured hand. She "pegged the meter" on service above and beyond the call of duty. We highly recommend this hotel and their outstanding staff.

Staff in the hotel were extremely friendly and helpful. Apar**ent was clean and well equipped. Centrally located and attractively furnished. Had a balcony. Shower was spacious. I'm excluding the restaurant from the review though.

Unfortunately, since the beginning of this year, there has been a noticeable deterioration in the food. The Styrian fried chicken still had skin on it, the cordon bleu was missing cheese (the cordon was very reminiscent of a frozen product from Hofer, but that could also be a coincidence...), and there was a piece of aluminum foil from a ready-made sauce package in the roast beef with onions. It pains me to give this negative review as a long-time regular, but unfortunately I have to do it now after several negative experiences. I hope the restaurant returns to its former greatness, like under Mr. Leitner.

In the middle of peak travel season, we were looking for a double room for one night in Ebensee, but booking in advance was not possible due to scheduling constraints. The owner, Mr Leitner, spontaneously offered to provide us with one of the large holiday apar**ents, which could easily have accommodated a family of four. Enough space for everyone, large windows with lots of light and a direct view of the parish church on the church hill. The large balcony - an ideal retreat after an eventful day! The entrance area to the hotel is inviting, the staff at the reception are competent and helpful. And the breakfast buffet in a light-flooded room is top-notch! A wide selection of fruit, spreads, pastries, sausage and cheese for young and old... And if possible, everything from regional producers, lots of organic and of the best quality! This is a great place to start the day! We would have happily spent a longer stay in this hotel!
