Ayr Max Motel

Well, it’s cheap. It is right on the highway but it is not noisy. It would have been nice if the toaster mentioned on the room description had been supplied. The wifi is free, but frequently disconnects so it is barely usable. So there is nothing particularly bad, and nothing particularly good.

I stayed at Ayr Max for one night while travelling through. It is an older style building which means: solid block walls with good sound proofing, undercover car park directly outside the room, and good sized room and bathroom. The room I stayed in had been recently renovated and featured a good layout with plenty of bench and luggage space. It had a good sized bar fridge, microwave, kettle and tea making, everything you could want for a short stay. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and there was an extra blanket available. The room had a fan as well as air conditioning. It was very clean and well appointed. It certainly earned its stars and I will be happy to return the next time I am travelling through.
