Grapevines Hotel

We had a nice stay at Grapevines, cannot comment on food as we didn't eat at the hotel with an exception of having breakfast on our second day which was ok. Our room was a decent size with a small kitchenet which we didn't use at all due to eating out. We did have a problem with our toilet (leak) on two different occasions but it got sorted out eventually by Theo ( owner's son). He was really lovely and helpful throughout our stay. As our transfer didn't leave until 6:30pm we were allowed to keep the room until then which was much appreciated. Overall it was a pleasant stay.

The owner and her son’s are absolutely wonderful and nothing was too much trouble. There were however 3 ladies who were staying there who went out of their way to cause trouble. Andi the owner did everything that she could to accommodate their needs but alas they continued to be disrespectful especially in the bar where other guests were enjoying their own holiday!!! I would also like to point out to James that you don’t need to go through Danny’s hotel and past the rubbish bins in order to get to the Main Street where the bars and restaurants were located. Just turn left out of the hotel and then left again and you will find the Main Street. We booked again for next year while we were still there at this fabulous hotel and hope to see the other guests that we met especially Vicky and Anthony.

This is our 6th visit to Grapevines and this year we booked directly with Andi so that we could stay in the new rooms. The rooms are fantastic, light, airy, spacious and very comfortable. We love staying here the family are so friendly and welcoming - they must be doing something right as so many customers return year after year. It is immaculately clean everywhere, the food is good and cooked to order. We booked for next year whilst we were still there! Love it.

Lovely place, hidden gem. Andi and her boys were so welcoming, nothing too much trouble. Rooms are simple but very clean and functional. Very private and quiet yet within 5/10 mins walk you’re at the beach and plenty of tavernas nearby. Recommend a walk, approx 20 mins, to Alykes in the evening for food and return with a pony and carriage, 10 euros.

Once again, we had a fantastic holiday at the Grapevines Hotel. Andi and her sons were absolutely brilliant. We have already booked to go back next year. The Hotel is about a 10 minute walk to lots of marvellous restaurants and shops and the same to the beach. The Hotel also does wonderful food. We met some people who were also there with us last year and made some amazing new friends this year. We look forward to going again next year. We would like to thank Andi for the gift she gave us before we came home.

Came to the Grapevines on my own for a short stay and I cannot recommend staying here enough. It was a home from home experience and I was made to feel welcome. Lovely clean hotel would definitely come back again!!

We have been coming to the grapevines hotel for many years and stayed in a variety of rooms without any problems. I am writing this review in response to 2 of the latest reviews from Fay W and Lisa who we saw this week when they arrived. Jet 2 sell the older rooms and are clearly advertised with pictures, but people can get confused if they look at other sites that have the new rooms which are priced differently not booked via Jet 2, so can be dissapointed with the comparison. The hotel was full so asking for a change of rooms was not possible. Bags are normally carried up by guests, but their bags were taken up on request by staff. The football was on when they arrived but no one was off there head in the afternoon, just normal banter between staff and customers. Due to the flight cancellations in the UK they were offered the same room when due to depart by the owner and waiting for Jet 2 to verify. Their bags were stored in a private storeroom and they sat in the bar playing loud music on their phone and singing to disrupt normal activity on purpose. Later they just dissapeared going into the storeroom unauthorised to retrieve their bags as there was other personal things in there. Some people just cannot be pleased, so just read all the other reviews so you can get a clear picture of what it is really like staying at the grapevines, not listen to people with a bad attitude that do not get their way.
