I have booked my holidays at Mercure Hotel, but due to covid restrictions, my reservation was changed to Novotel. I received very good treatment from Novotel staff members. It's an amazing hotel, a comfortable and spacious room, large parking, very good location, near a tube station and the best thing - very good customer service. All staff members from reception are polite and do the best for the comfort of the guest. Hospitality team prepared a special decoration in the room to celebrate our wedding anniversary. I really recommend Novotel Lisbon and I am sure that on my next trip to Lisbon, I will stay in Novotel again.

This is a rather elegant Pousada which is managed by the Pestana Hotel chain. Checking in at Reception was painless and swift. The staff generally were pleasant and friendly. Our bedroom was on the ground floor overlooking the car park. We needed to keep the windows closed for security and the curtains closed for privacy. The bedroom was pleasantly furnished and in good condition. The bed was king size and very comfy. There was plenty of hanging space for clothing The size of the room left very little space to conveniently store suitcases. The room was equipped with a refrigerator but no mini bar. There was also a television which as far as I could tell only had Portuguese programs. I could not find any English language programs. This did not really a problem because I was staying at this hotel for a limited time and did not want to watch TV. The bathroom was en suite with both a bath and a shower. The bath was useless because it did not have a bath plug and the hotel staff were unable to find a bath plug for me. There was plenty of tepid warm water for washing. However you need to have patience to have hot water. Hot water took a lifetime before it reached our room Our bedroom must have been some distance from the boiler because other guests did not suffer the same problem. A lot of water was wasted while waiting for the hot water. This was not a good way to “Save the Planet” as instructed by a sign / notice on display in the bathroom from the hotel management. The plug in the wash hand basin did not work properly. As you will realise having a wash in this hotel was a bit of an ordeal. Buffet breakfast had lots to chose from with a choice hot and cold dishes. The Lounge bar is comfortable and pleasantly furnished. Apart from the lack of bath plugs, the hotel is in good condition and decorative order.

We spent two nights here while in Lisbon on our tour of Spain, Portugal & Morocco. This was one of the nicer hotels they put us up in. The hotel and rooms were modern and very clean. The rooms were reasonably sized. Not overly large, but adequate for two people and luggage. There was an ATM in the lobby. And the WiFi was reliable. The room was cool when we checked in! If any of the things I've commented on seem like something you would expect, don't! Our experiences on this trip made us appreciate all of these things. The sink in bathroom drained slowly and the holder for the hand shower was broken. (It fell to lowest height every time the hand shower was removed.) Housekeeping should be logging these things for Maintenance to address proactively. But, overall, we enjoyed our stay in what was one of my favorite cities from our trip

ENG: Summary: Somehow, *********** permits this barely-2-stars hotel to be verified with 4. The only thing good here are the surprisingly large rooms and the swimming pool. Possible one the most peculiar hotel I have been to in my life. Firstly, it is almost impossible to get there with a GPS. The only sign is a tiny one saying ”Local Hotel” in the front door. Secondly, the hotel is somehow 4 stars, when in reality it doesn't go over 2 stars. Some examples of this: horribly low maintenance the walls haven't been cleaned probably since it was constructed. Moreover, there is humidity problems in the hotel. The breakfast, is terribly bad. Resembling the breakfast of a backpacking hostel. Moreover, the ”room service” is basically non-existent, in which they give you ”clean” towels (not enough for everyone, we were 4, they gave us 2.) The only good thing I can think about in this hotel is probably the surprisingly large rooms and the swimming pool. A nice, quiet place to stay just outside Lisbon (in the Porto Salvo area). We had a full-size bed with a couch, desk for working, and cable tv (the English channels begin at 200 - CNN, BBC, etc, plus movie channels). The breakfast spread was tasty and filling - coffee machine (8 different self-serve options), fruit juices, pastries, make yourself pancakes, fruit, and sliced meat. There is a Lidl supermarket next door and the Oeires Parque mall is a 15-minute walk away. We used a taxi and Uber to get around, and the Paco de Arcos train station was a short ride over to get into Lisbon. The staff (with the exception of a few of the house keepers) all spoke English and were friendly and helpful. If you are in Lisbon for more than a few days and looking for an economical hotel, then highly recommend!

We have stayed at this hotel for 5 nights and I must say it was the most clean, well organised and comfortable hotel I have been so far. All I have missed was a swimming pool but well we cannot have everything haha, they have got a huge bath so that’s the plus for not having swimming pool 😋. I can highly recommend staying at this hotel. Everyday they made sure our room is clean very spacious room and bathroom. Everyday we have got an AMAZING breakfast and DELICIOUS dinner with fresh juice. I don’t know guys who is your chef but take care of him/her as in whole Lisboa and Almada I haven’t eaten better than at yours restaurant. Very reasonable price and the meals were very very tasty. Nothing to add. Thank you so much for your hospitality. You went an extra mile to make us feel welcome and comfortable. Easy and nice underground access to the Parking as well which is an important if you rent a car. Everything 10/10!

Lovely and close to the airport, a late check-in, staff were delightful, she even came to my room to help me with the wndow, the handle was broken so it would not close properly. Toilet, seat was loose... Nice room, but a bit of road noise with open window. Breakfast was great and at €9.50 very reasonable, good selection and even a fresh orange squeezing machine. If you have an early morning flight, seriously consider this place. No stress about 10am checkout 👍

Excellent contemporary designed hotel, which was very clean and comfortable. There is an extensive selection of food for breakfast, which is good value. Ideal location for visiting the attractions of Lisbon, due to its close proximity to the Metro. The receptionists were all very helpful, particularly Alexander and Caroline, who are great ambassadors for the hotel.

Excellent location 4 minutes from beach, 5 minutes from train station. Shopping centre downstairs. Pool available and reasonable breakfast. Rooms a bit old but still ok.
