Hotel J Ambalangoda

Wir sind aus einem „angeblich“ 5 Sterne Riesen Hotel geflüchtet und wurden in diesem traumhaft gelegenen kleinen aber feinen Boutique Hotel sehr sehr freundlich „aufgenommen“! Die letzten 4 Tage unseres Urlaubs wurden „gerettet“! Dafür unser grosser Dank an die Hotelmanager!! Begeistert hat uns in erster Linie die herzliche und ehrliche Gastfreundschaft aller Mitarbeiter! Uns wurden alle (möglichen) Wünsche erfüllt. Der stets freundliche Restaurant Manager hat uns täglich nach unseren Essens Wünschen gefragt und uns wunderbare Mahlzeiten dargeboten (frischer Thunfisch - rare - wie wir es uns gewünscht haben ist nur ein Beispiel dafür). Auch der Koch und das gesamte Service Personal ist kompetent, freundlich, engagiert und motiviert! Die Zimmer sind sauber und geräumig, der Ausblick zum Meer und zum Sonnenuntergang einfach traumhaft und die unmittelbare Nähe zu einem herrlichen Sandstrand machen dieses kleine Hotel zu einem echten Highlight hier! Wir kommen gerne wieder und bedanken uns nochmal für die „freundliche Urlaubsrettung“! Mr.&Mrs. Braun

скромный отель, плюс только в расположении, он прямо на пляже, три вида завтрака( английский, местный, и какой то еще),кухня у них работает и как ресторан, есть свое меню, но по ценам выходит дороже чем в городе, уборка есть , вода есть на ресепшен в куллере, по запросу на ресепшен нам предоставили холодильник, чайник, вешалки, очень стараются помочь, у нас комната была на город, интересно наблюдать за городской жизнью, и как павлины гуляют по крышам домов), океан бесподобен, как и его закаты, это просто отдельное зрелище! завораживает, есть волна. при отеле есть бассейн, чистый, прекрасный вид с крыши отеля.

Были в августе 2023 вдвоем с подругой. Сразу скажу— не берите номер с sea view за 100$! Утром мы ходили на пляж , а вечером солнце садилось уже в 18:00 и на океан из номера смотреть просто некогда! Днем жарко и солнце палит в окно, что все равно его завешиваешь шторами. В номере кондиционер, холодильник размером 50 см х 50 см. Чайника , посуды и тд ничего нет. Тарелку, приборы и переходник для розетки попросили на ресепшене. Телевизор мы не включали. Если не вешать табличку на дверь (чтобы убрали номер), то номер не убирают. Завтраки в принципе вкусные, все как написано в предыдущих отзывах. Персонал хороший, приветливый. Все говорят на английском. Самый главный плюс отеля — его пляж! Ни души. Фото прилагаю. Собственно из-за пляжа и океана мы и выбрали этот отель и остались пляжем довольны. Волны достаточно большие, спокойно не поплаваешь даже утром, только попрыгать по волнам. По еде: рядом с отелем в ресторанах не ели, смутило отсутствие посетителей (даже местных) и цены как правило немного выше чем в самой Амбалангоде. В городе ели один раз в “You and me”— все было очень острое. Неплохой ресторан был Sanekvin, там ели один раз. Все остальное время ели в Хиккадуве- ехать на тук-туке 15-20 минут, стоило 1200/1300 в одну сторону. Там неплохие рестораны Dolphin и Red Lobster. Амбалангоду можно обойти пешком за день, смотреть особо нечего но прогуляться интересно. Рядом с отелем супермаркет, все есть. Фрукты лучше брать на улице— может чуть дороже чем в магазине, но все спелое, а в магазине нет. В хиккадуве брали экскурсию напротив отеля Hikka tranz, в принципе остались довольны. Там же на пляже плавают черепахи. В хиккадуве есть хороший фруктовый рынок, рядом с рыбным рынком( на котором кстати никогда ничего не было кроме креветок с мухами и мелкой рыбы) фрукты хорошие цены тоже. Ездят крейзи басы, между городами. Какие-то останавливаются, какие-то нет. По какому принципу это работает мы так и не поняли. Стоимость проезда 110 рупий от амбалагоды до хиккадувы. Удалось проехать только 2 раза. Отдыхом остались довольны! Неплохой тихий отель с отличным расположением.

In Ambalangoda, beggars and junk sellers will not take out your brains, as in the same Hikkaduwa and Unawatuna. When we checked into the hotel, I was immediately offered a sea view room. I knew that I would take it and agreed, expecting a classic surcharge in the region of $ 25-50. But here everything is official - be so kind as to add $10 per night, which is $110! In a half-empty hotel, where 4-5 rooms are occupied out of season (from May to October). When I asked what the hotel rules are and what is available here, they only told me about breakfast from 7:30 to 10:30. Sea View rooms are good in their view and in fact all our tourists spend the night there for an extra charge))) Although in Sri Lanka we were not going to stay at the hotel, but only to spend the night (and even then not all nights) The room was worn out, a lot of rust and was poorly cleaned ( so it’s better to wipe the table and chairs with wet wipes, which we did) The air conditioner ran wildly throughout the rest, they did it a couple of times, but it didn’t help, the main thing was that it froze. But he bred a lot of swamps. In the bathroom, the water pressure is almost excellent, there is always hot water, but at night you have to wait. The fridge ate freezing, but cooler than on the street))) And besides, it is very small, a couple of bottles of juice and fruit, and it is packed to capacity. In general, the interior is quite simple. The safe in the room was with a dead battery, which can lead to an unpleasant situation, so I immediately asked me to put a new battery in. They told me “ok, ok” and they took out the safe and “like” they brought a new one from another room. Which immediately after they left began to show low battery. Then it was too lazy to do stupid things, I wanted to go to the ocean and we spat on this safe and went to the ocean. As it turned out in vain, my chuyka did not disappoint. Indeed, on the very day when we were going to go to Colombo by train at 5 am, the safe simply did not react. Without money, there is nothing to do in Colombo, so I ran to the reception and found only a sleeping "guard" in the cubbyhole. He unfortunately speaks English so-so, so I explained to him for a long time what I needed. He just started running around the reception desk back and forth ... Just like a beetle in a bank, he rushed about and did nothing. I told him to call at least someone and give me the phone. After 15 minutes, thank God, an engineer came and changed the battery, so we caught the train. Fortunately, the station is a 10-minute walk from the hotel (Kandegoda) Now only 2 and 3 classes go.
