Despite being a 5-star hotel in Sri Lanka, our initial experience was subpar. The room we were allocated seemed hastily arranged, lacking even basic amenities like towels. Despite calling reception multiple times, the room wasn't cleaned promptly, and we only received water the next day. The overall experience, excluding breakfast and the scenic outdoor location, fell short of expectations.
Throughout the night, power interruptions were frequent, causing the AC and other devices to go off briefly before backup kicked in. The hotel staff's knowledge and efficiency in managing guest requests were lacking. During dinner, we observed identical spreads placed in three different corners, offering limited variety. The cost of approximately 8,000 rupees appeared disproportionately high compared to city hotels, considering the taste and variety of the buffet.
While the hotel boasts picturesque views and a serene location, experiencing genuine hospitality may require patience and multiple requests. If you seek a peaceful location, it may suffice, but for a truly satisfying hospitality experience, it might be worth reconsidering unless you are prepared for persistent follow-ups.

We had to wait for an hour for our room to be ready even though we arrived on time and pre-booked months before. There was no compensation offered either for the inconvenience. The rooms are quite far from the elevators so there was a lot of walking involved just to get anywhere. Apart from that, the hotel was good.

We are jain...so we thought we wouldn't get good food...but to our surprise we got the best jain food....chef' s of bounhala restaurant were very co operative....thanks to the whole team for serving us so well...The resort is also very nice with good beach view

This is an expansive property with so many beautiful spots to relax in or have fun. The service is top notch - there's nothing to improve upon. Perfect for a getaway by the sea, either as a family or with your partner. Mso many good things about the resort but my favorite thing got to be the constant, peaceful hum of water of the sea and the countless fountains across the property.

Everything was great from the views to the rooms and the food. Tons of fun activities to do around the property. Didnt really have enough time to experience everything. Definitely coming back again for a longer stay. Food was 10/10, with a great selection of cuisine. But beyond everything the service was the most impeccable. Special note, they had an exquisite violin/Saxophone player throughout the dining experience which was an amazing added touch.

You’ve got enough things to enjoy as much. Needed at least two days to coverup all 😁 Buffet, you get everything in Sri Lankan cuisine, breakfast is thé favorite of mine. You get a beautiful 3 pools, family pool is better to have some beautiful pics ☺️

Staff were very friendly.. especially Tiron.. great job I must say . Pools are kids friendly.. even the hotel is very kids friendly. A lot of activities were arranged for the kids. It was vesak so quite a few lantons too. Overall a freak experience !
