For the price, this property has so much potential. The property itself is beautiful. The pools were nice. The gym was fully equipped with smith machine, dumbbells, squat rack, machine weights for all body parts, workout ropes and medicine balls, and all cardio equipment. The only thing I did not like about the gym was you had to get hotel staff to scan you up to the gym. They were not always available so you have tonight until they locate the person with the scan card. One thing I found interesting is that they have daily Happy Hour but you wouldn’t know it exists. I just so happen to check out the pool bar and was then told I came during Happy Hour. This could be an amazing opportunity for marketing to let patrons know that there are food and drink options on site for a reasonable price. I stayed at the property for 9 and never saw Happy Hour crowded. The food at Happy Hour was inconsistent. I ordered Veggie Quesadillas twice during my stay. They were prepared differently with different ingredients. The first had great presentation and had cauliflower and broccolini. The second was thrown together and had peppers and refried beans. The first set the bar high because of all the different flavors. I was disappointed with the second. Since this property is not all inclusive; they do offer a breakfast package. You are limited in what you can order with the breakfast package. You can either order room service for breakfast or go to the restaurant across the street for breakfast. With either choice, you are given a list of things available and told you can order 3 menu items and a beverage. Options for Lunch and Dinner are also limited and costly. You will do better going off site of a local restaurant for more food options. The concierge is helpful when renting golf carts and planning excursions. Please be advised that going through concierge is more expensive than booking on your own. The concierge was extremely helpful in booking my round trip flight from Belize City to San Pedro. They also scheduled my pick up and drop off to hotel which took a lot of the edge off on travel days. I did not have any issues with my room. It was spacious and provided a homelike feel for my extended stay.

We went to Sunset Caribe for our 30th anniversary and had a great experience. The facility was clean, close to most places we went to and the staff was always happy to help! The courier drivers for the resort were also very nice and helpful. We rented our golf cart from them as well which was perfect because it came with all the proper permits and gas and we didn't have to worry about anything. I would also like to give a huge shout out to the bartenders and wait staff at the resort, especially Hener! It made our day when we were able to see him working. He is always smiling and eager to make conversation with the guests. He made a point to always ask what we did each day and make suggestions of some of his favorite places which was always helpful! If you go make sure you ask for him! Till next time!

This place was very nice. We had the 3 bedroom suit. It was very spacious and accommodated our girls' trip of 5. We had a couple of problems. When we arrived, the trash bin was broken, the icemaker wasn't working, and a window was left cracked, and mosquitoes had invaded the living room. But whenever we had an issue, the hotel came up and fixed it almost immediately. We had some cleaning issues with trash left behind, and the dining room table never getting cleaned properly. But nothing to bad. The view we had over the pool and bay was nice. The construction next door wasn't great, but it didn't ruin my balcony relaxation. The front desk staff and all the other staff members we came in contact with were all very nice and helpful. This is definitely a place I would stay at again.

Would stay again and recommend Hotel was very clean and comfortable. Rooms were spacious and felt gave illusion of an apt. The only issue is the hotel ran out of main food choices so options were limited and hotel room service was going thru renovations and service ended early. Other than food options we had no complaints about our stay.
