My three-day stay at the AA lodge after the park visit was pure rejuvenation. Nestled amidst nature, it offered tranquil vibes and cozy accommodations. The staff's warmth made me feel at home, and the delicious meals were a delight. It was the perfect retreat, leaving me refreshed and eager to return. Highly recommend!

The AA Lodge is in the middle of nature close to the entrance to Amboseli NP which is a good position. The reception, the chetaah bar and the restaurant are nice, but the rooms really need an update. The cottages are old, especially the bathroom need a renovation. The shower was broken, almost no water came so it was impossible to wash our hair and when we told it at the reception, no one checked the shower or offered us to change room with a better bathroom. At our arrival the towels were missing in the bathroom. For breakfast, lunch and dinner there is a buffet, the food is ok, but the personal is not that friendly.

It was one of the dirtiest and most disgusting hotels I have ever stayed in my entire life. It was not clean at all, the shower water was extremely cold and couldn't be heated, the rooms and beds were full of cockroaches, even in the dining hall, there were dirty cockroaches crawling over the food.Cockroaches were also crawling on the bedsheets, and our hats, travel bags, and clothes were stolen from the hotel reception. Even during our safari lunch pack, there were cockroaches. My family and I were severely discomforted in this hotel, and I definitely do not recommend it at all.

Lodge a few km from one of the entrances to the Amboseli Park, structure cared for only in the front part, the last structures are left to chance, tall grass, little lighting and uncomfortable structures. The room, a superior, where I stayed was part of a series of terraced rooms. There was no air conditioning or fan (it was really necessary). the bed was uncomfortable, the low and hard mattress did not allow for a good rest and the bed base to protect against insects was torn. Insects, many insects inside the room, broken mosquito net in the bathroom (impossible to open the windows) I did not use the balcony overlooking Kilimanjaro as it was left to neglect. (the window does not have a mosquito net) Unkept swimming pool, 5/6 rusty sunbeds. Average food. Courteous staff.

Great company to have as your transport and safari guides. I had an amazing experience enjoying the views of Amboseli. The lodge was comfortable during my 2 nights, the meal was also fantastic Would recommend anytime to travel with Chenggong tours to explore Kenya

The dirtiest and most unfriendly place I have ever stayed in. Bed sheets had BROWN marks on them. Mosquito net FULL of holes. Dirty walls. Spider and cobwebs .Sheets had holes.Toilet had something horrendous in it. Only 1 towel provided so no hand towel or floor towel. Curtain not even hooked on. On arrival juice was served in a totally broken/fractured glass. NOT 1 person helped me with my bags. The bar was unmanned for 5 mins so me and other guests helped ourselves. Only 5 cold beers in the fridge and NO tonic. (whatever, not a train smash but adds to the impression this lodge is going under). I felt so dirty I skipped dinner. For over 150$...this is unfair, outrageous, poor value.

I was visiting this lodge with my family and we had booked a year in advantage for 3 cottages for 10 people. When we arrived only 3 out of 10 got a cottage and rest got an extremely warm tent with no mosquito nets around their beds, bouncy floor, no doors for toilet and very small beds (1200x200 for a “king size bed”) for a family of 3 and 4. It was a real hassle and a big frustration for the rest of the family to sleep without the mosquito net and hotel didn’t give a sh*t about it. It was only after hours of complaining they send some staff down to the tent to set up the mosquito nets. Their manager claimed that malaria is not existent in this part of Kenya which is a straight up freaking lie. After a lot of trouble and continued complaining about that we ordered 3 cottages in a year of advantage they booked OUR rooms for their tribe family (which the receptionist confirmed that they were) we ask for some compensation for our drinks at the meals (we stayed for 2 days cause of safari) that we AT LEAST should get for free. A very small demand for a lot of negative energy and hassle. That was denied by their manager because the tents and cottages cost the same (theirs a WORLD of difference between the two kind of rooms) The compensation was that the rest of family got the cottages the next day (that we already had ordered in advantage) that was booked because their friends and family had our rooms. The staff in the reception, and manger doesn’t give a sh*t about customer service and would rather have their friends stay than tourists that have payed and booked rooms. Never this again!

If you want just a little service and to be sure you get what you pay for - stay somewhere else…!! Was placed in an old tent with my family (though we booked and paid for a cottage) - But they overbooked the place - and as a little “treat” there were a mouse in the bathroom, no moskito net in the tent, only light in the “bath room”, 2 single beds for 3 people - and worst of all the staff didnt seem to actually Care about it… (Another family of my group experienced the exact same, they just had a scorpion instead of the mouse - the third of our group got the room typewe had all booked) Didnt even wanted to compensate with free sodas and beers with our meals. So thanks for nothing - and I would definitely book an alternative lodge near by (it is to be found easily)

The lodge itself is close to the gates, found the staff friendly enough, food was just okay. Beds were awful, hard and uncomfortable and i could barely sleep, the floor might have been more comfortable. Shower was warm but the water pressure was pretty much non existent. Would choose someplace else next time.
