It was comfortable and food was excellent

Stayed for one night only and really enjoyed our stay. Room & bathroom was clean, nicely decorated, served good food and the breakfast was excellent! Overall a pleasant stay and will definitely revisit if in the area again.

My wife and I spent two nights there. The pub is lovely and our bedroom was spacious and clean. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom very nice with a properly working bath and shower. Food was a delight both evening dinners and breakfasts. My pot of tea had two tea bags instead of the usual one and it was quality Yorkshire tea too...a nice touch. The staff were fantastic, so friendly and attentive nothing being too much trouble. We said we might be late back having attended a funeral and they said that if the chef had gone home by then one of them could prepare some food for us...wow!! Richard the boss was on hand most of the time and what a lovely guy he is. The locals using the pub were great too. Can be a bit noisy if there is a do on but it's a pub that has functions and you have to accept that's how it is. Large carpark and the pub even had the village shop in the front garden open early morning till late at night. Maximum effort all round to make this place a success and they are certainly doing that. Thank you all at the Potters Arms. Made a sad occasion much less so.

Don't be fooled by the 5* reviews from others, I don't live like a Queen but I do have standards! £150 for a twin room over a pub? But trying to support small businesses since Covid. Outside looks lovely, but the room we had #3 was like going back in time. To the 90's! Magnolia walls, dark green bed spread thing, old toothpaste in the basin, 2 rotten mis-matched dirty rugs by the beds (I wouldn't even bother washing them!), 1 bedside lamp with the bracket broken and hanging out the top (if I saw it, the cleaner would've seen it), towels were old and like cardboard. Fresh milk in the fridge, nice touch, but it had been opened and used (to save wasting it, could have just put it in a jug‍♀️) Just no interaction with anyone, apart from the young girl who served us drinks outside qhen we arrived. "RECEPTION" if it was, was bunged up and confused. Part of the bar we had to walk through was a mess, and STILL messy on Sunday morning. Just sloppy. It wouldn't take much to turn this around, they're obviously just not natural hosts (whoever they may be).

Must have been an off day ! Staff were lovely and attentive but the food was dreadful. I always praise when good or say when not . I had the fish and chips . The fish had been drowned in cooking oil yet was barely cooked. My wife couldn’t eat the Thai curry. We couldn’t complain as friends had booked it ! Maybe just a Tuesday lunchtime with no chef ?

Went to my sisters wedding last weekend, what an amazing day, food was stunning and the service was impeccable, staff are on the ball! Couldn’t of asked for a better day! Highly recommend the potters arms. Thank you

Stayed for one night. The room is quite small and I would not call it luxurious, but is clean and the bathroom is modern. There are just a few rooms over the pub. The pub offers excellent food at a reasonable price, and a very good full English breakfast was included with the room. It is well located on the green on a small village between Beaconsfield and Amersham. Well worth it for the pub experience.

Good friendly service; wholesome; quiet location; convenient parking. Only downside was the actual shower: water temperature varied unpredictably, it was rather cramped, and - the usual problem - one of the doors kept coming off its runners
