La localisation de l'hôtel est parfaite avec sa vue sur les villages environnants et la baie d'Akili L'accueil y est très agréable Il est à l'entrée du très beau et très calme village de Tholaria, où il est possible de trouver une auberge authentique pour le dîner

The Vigla Hotel in Tholaria on Amorgos is a lovely spacious family run hotel and interesting contrast to being by the sea. Situated up the mountain in this little village it has tremendous views over the countryside plus a cooling breeze. There are many hiking trails but beware the heat. The facilities are excellent with a bar by the pool, jacuzzi & kids pool. The rooms were spotlessly clean with efficient air conditioning, fridge and kettle. Their mini bus will take down to the sea side village below. The staff are very friendly with nothing being too much trouble. The village itself is traditional narrow streets with several tavernas.

Hôtel très cosy situé sur une des plus belles îles des Cyclades, loin de la foule. La piscine est très sympa surtout en fin de journée avec le coucher de soleil. La cuisine est super bonne, les chambres sont décorées avec goût. Belle vue sur la campagne environnante....

We have stayed at the Hotel Vigla for the last 5 nights . A gorgeous suite with a very comfortable large bed , sitting area , bathroom and dressing room . The staff were fabulous , so friendly and kind. The hotel is a 10 min transfer to the bay where there are many restaurants and shops. We were dropped off and picked up every time we wanted to go down to the bay . My only criticism would be lack of shade by the pool.

Très belle chambre avec une décoration très soignée. Calme. Très bonne literie. Douche un peu petite. Vue sur la colline avec un minuscule balcon. Très bon petit déjeuner avec produits laitiers locaux. Dommage pour la piscine car il faisait trop froid pour l’utiliser.Bons conseils de visites à effectuer et possibilité de randonnées avec un guide de l’hôtel. Tholaria est un village perché aux nombreuses ruelles blanches et charmante petite taverne, une très belle vue sur la baie d’Aegiali. Un très bel endroit préservé.

We were unfortunately accommodated in the worst room in the hotel: above the kitchens (noises until 11 p.m. and from 6:30 a.m.) and a huge engine on the roof just above the room which starts several times a day. day and until late in the evening.
Only the terrace with magnificent views made us stay in this room.
It should also be noted that the swimming pool was an uninviting yellowish color.
Breakfast is very good.

What a lovely, relaxed and easy going place at the top of hill above Aegalis in Tholaria. It feels like a family run business with excellent breakfast choice and variation each day. The rooms were just right, not large, but had space for everything and to be able to do things ( like making your tea and coffee in the morning). The shower was a bit small and the a/c takes a little to figure out (everything needs to be shut tight for it to come on). The blue door shades could use some WD40 and rust protection. But you’re in Amorgos and you only slowly realise how relaxed you are becoming and pleasant and friendly are the people. It’s a popular village so parking in the evening can be difficult, you might need to park down the hill and walk up but it’s no problem. Overall we loved it, would go back in a heartbeat.
