City Hotel Amsterdam Reviews

For over 16,000 rubles a night, I got a cramped room in the semi-basement that was tiny, had no fridge, and terrible pillows. There's no elevator, so I had to ask male staff for help carrying my luggage down. They didn't refuse, but they didn't offer either, even though it's obvious with no lift and a long staircase. Breakfasts were typical for a 3-star hotel. I don't know what 'homey' atmosphere people are talking about. There's no interest in the customer whatsoever, no questions or explanations about the local area, and no map offered. You just walk past the front desk, and that's it. I declined cleaning myself because there was nowhere to clean in the room – the bed, table, and my suitcase took up all the space. The only good thing is the hotel's location. It truly is convenient. Before this hotel, I stayed in Vienna for the same room price, and the central location there was like night and day in comparison!

Everything was perfect, tasty breakfast, even gluten- free bread. Lidation is great!

This hotel was better than expected; the rooms were spacious and had elevators, so there was no need to worry about carrying luggage. The breakfast was also plentiful.

The location is very central, right next to the train station. We really liked the breakfast, it was delicious. You can stay here with peace of mind.

Excellent hotel! Ideal location: a couple of minutes' walk from the train station. Despite the proximity to the Red Light District, the hotel itself is quiet and peaceful, located on a small island. Comfortable room, comfortable bed. I'll note weak water pressure, but it's generally tolerable. The room has a safe, TV, and good Wi-Fi. Breakfast includes eggs, omelettes, cold meats, cheese, cereal, croissants, and fruit. I highly recommend this hotel!
